I already have the first, original 3 pedal setup and decided that I wanted the new version. I went with the black, but am a bit disappointed that the coating releases very quickly. The pedal surface has a thick coating, but the rest of the metal has a very thin layer of black. If you remove or shift your pedal for adjustment on the pedal plate, the paint is easily gone (even with very loose screws).
