I was hesitant as I was not familiar with the manufacturer, but I fell in love with the panel Celtic Summer. The companion piece is for the quilt backing. I washed, dried and spray starched the fabric before using - I don’t usually- but other blocks had been prewashed. It washed up beautifully and has a nice hand. Colors stayed great. A great quality manufacturer that I will look for in future.

I will be buying more of these universal conversions in the near future, so that I can take advantage of my stockpile of favorite standard feet. It takes away the limitation of my slant shank, making it unnecessary to setup two separate sewing machines. I can switch out feet easier than setting up two machines. Sharing thread and bobbins alone slows me down. Two machines, two different bobbins. Let's just say that I am happy.

Having this has given me a place to sweep off the scraps and thread that I cut off. I only wish that it had a durable plastic cup instead of the fabric collection cup that comes with it.

I bought two extra bobbin cases for my Kenmore 158.1774 so that I could have bobbin cases permanently adjusted with correct tension for the different thread weights I use. Sew Steady is a great company to work with. The insert I received was just a little to big in the front of the machine making it difficult to reach comfortably while sewing. I contacted the company and they remade the insert to my specifications. Normally it would just be a standard insert, but my cabinet is over 40 years old. It's perfect.
