I used to have a hammock-style backseat cover for my Bernese Mountain Dog, Ronii (rhymes with Tony). This will be a strange experience after purchasing our German shepherd. Daisy had an accident with a frisbee and a tree, which ended up breaking her front left Paul with the help of your product. The Ruff Rover hard bottom seat protector has worked out great in my Tacoma. I removed the seat bottoms, (4 screws each side) which lowered the entry height to the floor level, about 6" lower. I put a thin foam pad on the floor to even it out some and then Installed the seat protector. I have 2 golden retrievers. I was very happy to finally find an actual hard bottomed back seat protector! This unit fits perfectly in my full-sized bronco. And as you can see by the pictures, my dog is also pretty full-sized.
If I could make one suggestion to improve performance, perhaps a less slippery surface material or some gripping… If your dog is a nervous backseat stander, it can be a little unstable.

We absolutely love this product. We have traveled with our dog for 13 years and this was the first trip that we didn’t have her falling onto the floorboards and jumping out of the car at rest stops. It was easy to put together and the zippered sides allowed for us to control her better from exiting the car. She also loves the cushion bed so much, we continue to use it in our home.
