Took our dog on her first trip over 1 hour…a 24 hour drive over 3 days (Wisconsin to Phoenix, AZ. Fits car great and very sturdy. When we first installed the Rough Rover she had trouble getting in and out, nervous yet still excited. Thought we were going to have to assist 60 lbs in/out of car every time. We are pretty happy with our RuffRover 2.0 Car Seat Extender! Our 79-lb lab absolutely loves it! He now has plenty of room to stretch out and relax comfortably during rides. The platform is sturdy and secure but since I have captain’s chairs in my SUV, I did purchase a storage box to fit between the seats to act as a bridge and provide additional support underneath — and that setup works perfectly. We had the best experience with our 2 yorkies while traveling for almost 10 hours. I felt they were safe while not too much restricted, still being able to move around a little. Both puppies could see us through the netting, which also allowed physical contact when unzipped. This was my 2nd purchase, its absolutely beautiful, I did not receive the Christmas first kiss that I ordered however my fiancee infact loved this one more. I had excellent service with my first purchase, constantly in contact with each other throughout the process. I would still recommend this to anyone looking for that special something. I have two little Shih Tzus (6# & 4#) who have always been insecure travelers! Especially the older one who has ALWAYS insisted on laying in my lap. I’ve used a cat mat for 13 years with her. I have tried many different beds before. The Ruff Rover bed was an INSTANT hit with my pups! Once they were in the bed they never moved on a 2 hour drive. I am so pleased with this Ruff Rover bed! Three successful road trips down and my pups rested comfortably for all of them! I highly highly recommend! This installs in minutes.
