The drill template was perfect for this project. I made a 21 pound 23” x 17” x 1-1/2” cutting board out of Bocote. Because of the size and weight, the corner drilling template made placement of the brass feet much easier. I selected the 2.5” corners and it is perfect.

This is a great mold off excellent quality and easy to use. Not only can it be personalized with a photo (which I haven't done yet) but makes a great tray for dog lovers.
To both reduce the quantity of resin required and also create a neat effect, I used deep cast resin and colored aquarium gravel.
This will be one of many variations I will try.

I purchased the Florida State template thinking that it was an acrylic sheet with the state already cut out, however the product is the cut shape of the state. It is very sturdy and easy to trace. The edges of the stencil are much more representive of the state topography than most templates.
Instead of sending it back, I just used the shape to create a template out of MDF.

We like some brass in the boards. THis is 1" brass tube, but not it is from Asia and NOT 1", but it was small and I took a 1" spade bits and ground it down till it was just right..can't do that with a Forstner, so there is a real reason for spade bits.
Templae routing is so much fun.
One more note; We have a Bosch 1617 in our router table.
It has been too noisy and I know its the bearings. Ordered new ones, but got the SKF very, very good ones

method for a template that does NOT slip. Those double bearing compression bits are spendy, but so great at not going against the grain. I made a spare master copy right away in case I nick the template one day.

After my recent purchase of your full size router slab flattener, 96” x 40” set up.
I followed the video instructions to set up the equipment. It was easy with no drama or complications.
A couple of issues that were encountered…
Alignment of the 48” rails took some adjustment to enable a smooth transition across the rails. I left the rubber bearing dust guards in place. After making a few rail alignment adjustments and running the system it is very smooth. Love it.

My first charcuterie board turned out great. It easily released from the mold. I did use mold release spray for bottom and sides of mold. I used 10 lb dumb bells wrapped with tyvek tape to hold down wood and bar clamps with cauls on sides of molds to minimize epoxy seeping onto sides of boards. (Probably not necessary.) Green color of epoxy river really complements the olive wood. This will be one of several boards for Christmas presents for our children and grandchildren children.
