Oh my word, we had so much fun! We played the game with 14 characters at a party. We took inspiration from the Great British Bake Off and decorated our "stage area" with the little party flags and had an impromptu Bake Off co test (we had each character decorate a cupcake in the style of their character). We did this for my birthday! A bit of prep needed but as the host I was still in the game by placing a letter for each character (I know would recommend numbers) all in a hat, and once we were all present we all pulled from the hat, noted our numbers privately and put them back in. We had so much fun at our Dead Men Drink No Rum Murder Mystery Pirate Party! We had a pool, so the murderer "went down with the mast" and was set out to sea on the pirate ship cooler floatie with a slow leak instead of walking the plank :) The directions were easy to follow. I played hostess in order to keep things moving and recorded the "detective" parts ahead of time and played them each round. It was awesome! Everyone got into character and the accents provided a big laugh. It was so much fun working out who did it and difficult too. Pretty easy to figure out and organise. 1 tip though. Instead of saying if you want to play you need an assistant to do the alphabet/letters part. We had a blast! They are very straightforward to use and was not hard at all. We did a casual walk around the house with lots of snacks and did group sessions in the living room as a group. I love that you can use it over and over and have different people be the one who is at fault so it’s nice being able to use it again.
