I purchased this game for my Husband's surprise 40th Birthday party. He loves gaming and is also a big fan of puzzles (escape rooms and those brain teaser puzzles you have to take apart). Since he was born in the 80's and didn't like people saying "Happy 40th Birthday" I made the party an 80's gaming theme "Level 40 Unlocked". The pack was super easy to use. I printed off everything and put it in envelopes. I added in some puzzles that had to be done to reveal the evidence. Everyone got dressed up and really into it. After some initial downloading issues, which were eventually sorted I managed to download several files for the up to 14 people game. We played the 80’s murder mystery for 9 of us, we all got into character, with some slight personal tweaks on the costumes. We did a 40s theme party for my 40th birthday and It was soooo much fun. I liked that I could lead the game and still participate. Instead of sending out the secret letters in advance for the drawing to choose the murderer we did a drawing that night. Everyone drew a letter and then put it back and then I pulled out the murderer’s letter. My only advice is that handwritten letters like H and I look like each other depending on the angle! Our friends had a great time with this murder mystery. The story was well written and we all love that the killer can be anyone and is selected randomly - and therefore the story can be replayed. This is the only place we can get these for such large groups. We have already purchased three more titles and the commercial licenses for each because our escape room business will be hosting these as public events. This mystery was for a Team Retreat; I used the entire package including recipes and music. Everyone dressed up, some fell into character with voice and western accent. The meal was delicious thanks to the team effort. No one guessed that it was the Dr that was the murderer and he did a fabulous job given he is the quietest member of the team.
