We played this game for our annual Friendsmas party this year. We had 18 players and everyone had an excellent time! We assigned characters a few weeks in advance and encouraged everyone to dress up. Upon arrival we handed out player guides and had one player who was hosting the event walk everyone through the instructions. We had a blast! They are very straightforward to use and was not hard at all. We did a casual walk around the house with lots of snacks and did group sessions in the living room as a group. I love that you can use it over and over and have different people be the one who is at fault so it’s nice being able to use it again. A great success! Switched it up a bit by purchasing all the costume pieces myself at thrift and dollar stores and had each character in sealed paper "mystery" shopping bags. After hors d'oeuvres guests chose a bag and became that character! In the end, it was the Grinch that did it! All together we have done about a dozen murder mystery parties over the years. We had such a fun time with this one and keen to order more from your website. This murder mystery is great because if people cancel it’s not a big deal. In todays day and age that is a real win. Only down side is if you are the murderer, The information about what to say was on the next page, so we had to be sneaky and pretend like we were looking on both pages so others didn’t know if we were the murderer. We had so much fun with this Masquerade murder mystery! It was great that the host could play along. The audio files really added something special to the party. I recreated the evidence (in stead of printing it out, I copied it and made the paper look old), made a background music playlist that was era appropriate and we staged a 'murder scene'. The theme itself made for an enjoyable evening! I was impressed with the amount of detail put into the game and the "evidence" and sound bites made it incredibly engaging. Things I learned the first time around: - Print booklet style using a PDF editor, with each character needing A LOT of pages, the paper adds up! Oh my word, we had so much fun! We played the game with 14 characters at a party. We took inspiration from the Great British Bake Off and decorated our "stage area" with the little party flags and had an impromptu Bake Off co test (we had each character decorate a cupcake in the style of their character).
