EXCEPTIONAL CRAFTMANSHIP & PERFECT SIZE - A BACKPACK THAT DELIVERS! I recently purchased a backpack by Portland Gear. I couldn't be more thrilled with my purchase as it's often a challenge to find a backpack that strikes the perfect balance between my 5’4” stature and spacious enough to hold all my essentials while maintaining a sleek and manageable profile. This backpack accomplishes that effortlessly. It boasts ample storage space, allowing me to comfortably fit everything I need for my d...

❤️ Love when you open this backpack up you can see everything, even small items all the way down at the bottom!! Holds a lot, easy to pack. Performs great in the rain, really like the look & feel of the material. Super comfortable on you back, straps don’t dig in. Also comfy thrown over one shoulder too. Bit worried about how big the pockets are for water bottles {designed to hold 32oz} I have a regular 24oz, holds it no problem. My only design note would be: zipper pocket on the inside, wou...

I bought the bag before I left for England and it was so worth it! Over here we use reusable bags and or your own bag for the supermarket. This backpack has not failed me yet, everything fits so well and last night for example I bought a wok pan, a pot (medium sized), detergent, fairy liquid, hand towels, and a normal towel; it all fit! and it zipped! Again, yet to fail me! Over here it rains just about every day and you don’t necessarily know when, so it being water proof is amazing. I don’t ha...

When I travel,, my carry-on, backpack always is packed to the brim with “just in case they lose my luggage” which has happened too many times to count. Guess I’m just unlucky that way. So in my backpack, I have all my medicines, my toiletries, extra pair of shoes, neck pillow and everything else I can survive on, and just buy some clothes if necessary. So my backpack always looks enormous and unattractive and as if I am caring a duffel bag on my back. This Portland Gear backpack is so attractiv...

I love this bag! I bought both sizes with the thought of trying them out and returning the size I didn’t need. It turns out I need both of them. I use the larger one for work- it fits everything I need for work as a nurse (all my nurse things, food for 10 hours, two water bottles and a small purse). I’m hoping this will be my personal carry on item when traveling as well. I’ve used the smaller bag several times for weekend outings - to the farmers market, outside music shows and short hikes. It ...

I have been looking for the perfect backpack for ages, and this one is everything I could have wanted and more. Working as a traveling healthcare professional in rainy areas, I need something functional, professional, and able to hold a decent amount of things. Even as a "compact" version, this puppy will hold my laptop with the case, a large jacket, a water bottle, an umbrella, snacks, and so on. I LOVE how it can stand up and the opening stays open, so I don't have to keep digging around a flo...

I LOVE this—part briefcase, yet all backpack, I can carry my entire portable studio with me. I have added some zip bags inside but I especially like how everything stays upright with the flat bottom. And no more digging around—the wide, stay-open “mouth” makes it easy to find things. (BTW: Really good idea with the light interior lining). I never leave reviews but this backpack has taken my heart. I’ve used a lot of packs in my (long) life but this is my fav. (Debra Frasier, Author & Illustrato...

I have to be honest, I was a bit surprised. The design, materials and craftsmanship are not what we have come to expect. Although 21 liters, not unwieldy very roomy yet, ergonomically compact, forming comfortable carrying positions and conveniently able to stand up while packing. I’ve come to understand, this is not a student or outdoorsy backpack - it is an “adult” backpack where you appreciate the thoughtful design and well executed aesthetics. Portland Gear is great for travel, work or ...
