Wanted one of these engines ever since I saw the real one during the funeral for 41. Have seen videos from UP showing all the details that went into the funeral train. Very well detailed model. Probably one of their best. Paragon4 sound system seems to have improved sounds (chuff sounds much less "digital", nice whistles and other sounds all seem improved). I do wish they would inlclude the all steel driver to swap out the traction tire driver. I am not a fan of the traction tires at all. So I will wait to run it more until the steel driver is available. Overall a 9 out of 10. Nice job BLI.

When I saw this stakebed truck I had to get one. Tons of other truck types are available, but this was the first truck of this type I have ever seen. Looks great on my layout. Also being a Ford guy, this is perfect.

Although I have at least 15 PCM, Paragon X, Platinum (Pennsy K4s), and four Hybrid models, they are all steam. This was the first diesel purchase, and I have to say I'm very pleased. It looks very good, tracks and runs well, and the sound quality is excellent. I have no complaints, and am pleased with this purchase.

These are very nice F3 models in Northern Pacific “pine tree” (dark green and yellow) paint. This is a relatively rare paint scheme for NP models, but is representative of the early 1948 dieselization of the North Coast Limited passenger train (colors changed to Loewy Scheme in early 50’s). Having driven the real one at its Northern California museum home, I wanted to get the model when it was announced. Took it along to our club layout (to ‘show it off’) and was very impressed with the model ( BTW, it is the DCC/sound version). Slowly turned the power up and got the engine start-up, then with more power the notch-up/run phases came in - just like the real one. Another club member was impressed by it and bought one of the other Kodachrome numbers. Well worth the money.

It is a nice car. The only problem is with the adjusting the sound. I am having difficulty improving the sound with the magnet that is provided. The sounds have stopped and I cannot get them back.

The two units arrived in fine shape. Well packed and cushioned prior to shipment. The two models look great, and I've had no issues in running them. In fact, they look better than the real units ever did and there is no question that these will have fewer maintenance issues. The prototypes never could hold a vacuum in the annular space for very long after about 10 years of service .

Walthers Mainline is a good quality, high value alternative to the more expensive high end freight and passenger cars. The present very well and run excellent with good factory added weight. The paint and graffics are excellent and detail is very good for the price. The are durable for frequent handling and include metal wheels and metal couplers. These are often preferred over higher end products that are twice the price.

I like the Broadway N guage diesels that I purchased. The DCC features and sound are great and the all wheel electrical pickup and capacitor make for smooth running.
