Bought this for my daughter for her record player. Read some of the reviews and was a bit sceptical since they sounded too good to be true. Sound is really good and rich. She likes to turn on the base and it definitely works. Really recommend this for anyone that is looking for a good stereo system for a room. Surprisingly good at a very reasonable price.

The replacement remote controls the speakers fine. However, this remote is too thin and smooth to pick up and handle well. It's only 3/16ths inches thick. I am older and my fingerprints are worn, so it is harder to pick up small, slippery items like this remote. The previous version of this tiny remote got dropped on the hardwood floor a lot. I appreciate the simple ability to layer sound into my ear without blocking out all outside noise - in the contexts I want earbuds, being able to hear things around me is also important. I bought the S3000PRO on specs only as I hadn't the opportunity to listen to them before buying, but I am completely satisfied with these speakers. The resolution and clarity are phenominal, and the bottom end extension is as advertised - I tested the range with a tone generator. I do have a subwoofer in the system to augment the speakers down to 27Hz but not as a ground-pounder, It's crossed over at 40hz and I only notice it in the system about 5%of the time.
