Attractive cabinet, and the sound is excellent for the price. Documentation is deficient, even as expanded online, but I think I've figured it out. Apparently the unit favors wifi over bluetooth connection: even when active on bluetooth, it will drop a (very nearby) BT connection and switch back to wifi unbidden. This deserves mention in the product description! But I primarily wanted it for wifi, so OK.

My bad, for buying online without listening first. Everyone's sound perception is different. To me, these are too muddy. I'm not a fan of loads of bass, as some are. When the bass is turned all the way down, to me it feels about what I consider mid, not low. But I know that a lot of people love their bass. To the "muddy", I did actually look to see if maybe there was a clear film that needed to be removed from the speakers. They just sound a bit off to me. Almost like listening through ...
