This protective visor has been a Godsend for our sweet mare who only has one eye and gets chronic uveitis. I seriously think this visor has saved her eye. She recently had to have eye surgery to remove a cancerous growth on her 3rd eyelid and this mask helped prevent her from rubbing during the healing process. Thank you!

I ordered both the fly mask and the Solar Visor. My mare, Sugar, has light sensitivity. My vet recommended them. What a difference both products have made for Sugar. She's so much more comfortable. She used to huddle in the shade and now she's out in the arena much of the day.

Love love the fly mask. I have a rescue mare that had chronic uveitis, and she struggled with the fits of other medical masks. This one just being able to have the mask right off her eyes, and the fit adjustable has made a world of a difference for her .

My mare has had ongoing eye inflammation episodes triggered by sun, heat, wind, and dust. This visor keeps her eyes shaded, prevents her from rubbing her eyes when hot and itchy, is well ventilated, and minimizes wind impact. It easily works over the bridle as well as daily on its own. Yesterday was the first time wearing the visor. I thought it would be too large but it fits perfectly. My horse has just one eye and poor eyesight in her remaining eye. I’m not sure if she will be able to see very well when I need to put the fly guard on well have to wait and see. Otherwise I really like it and I think she can see with the UV tint. I am glad I purchased it.

The medium was a good fit for my Basset Hound and he adjusted o wearing it quickly. It was so much easier for him, being so low to the ground, he didn’t get it caught on the ground or steps while walking. This was a huge problem with a traditional e-collar. Finding a mask that also protects ears is very hard when fitting an Icelandic horse. I have been using the regular UV mask for years since my boy has ERU but recently he developed an allergy to insect bites and I had to get his ears covered. Thank goodness this mask fit my boys huge mane.

This shield is fantastic! My Mare struggles yearly with flare ups and eye ulcers due to keratitis. This shield prevents her from rubbing the eye as well as shielding from debris allowing it to heal. I’ve been using these fly masks on my horse for 6 years. I started because my mare had an eye infection and I was concerned that her other fly mask was always coming off. Game changer when we took the cone off and replaced with the Optimizer. Shaggy was so happy. He still tries to rub it off, and has worn a bald spot on the top of his head but he’s much happier doing so. He can freely eat, drink and lick but his eyes are protected very well.
