A long time ago I had a Burgundy shirtdress and decided to re-make in my current size! I really enjoyed making this button thru' shirtdress. The fabric is easy to sew and press giving a professional result. I shall certainly be using this substrate for more dresses, shirts, skirts and trousers in the future.

Lovely colours, easy to sew, I am a novice. Thought I would make some cushions ended up ordering more. I am in the process of making curtains. Made cushions to bring some colour into our Motorhome too. Very pleased, the material is easy to cut and sew, some fraying but nothing major.

Washes nice. Bought to make some trousers. Colour slightly different to photos, might not have bought if I saw in a shop, but glad I've got it. I think it has a slight pink to it. Trousers look nice and go with plenty of my jackets. Good price as well.

Lovely cotton lawn, sews up beautifully with very little fraying, nice and lightweight, it is a little see through but that doesn't bother me. Fantastic service once again from Pound Fabrics.

Lovely light weight drapy fabric, freyed a bit, but nothing gentle handling and overlocking couldn't handle. It looked to be quite sheer, but once made up I don't need a slip. Thought it was going to crease really badly, but once ironed and wearing, it is fine, love the linen look, Really pleased with it and likely to be buying more in different colours

Lovely cotton fabric, easy to sew and cut, price is amazing and washes and irons up a treat, the only niggle is that it is not as wide as the description and I only mention this because I made my grand daughter a toddler duvet and pillow and had to add an edge on both sides to make it wide enough for duvet to fit. I would still buy more though as its quality

Great fabric that complimented the other fabrics I bought from Pound Fabrics to make cushions. This fabric had an amazing soft velvet back which was hidden inside the cushion. I might just order some more to make a matching throw.

I love this fabric. I wanted to make some very wide culottes (aka a split skirt) to fall to mid calf, with a good drape. This has twelve panels, and the fabric is simply perfect: soft, elegant drapes that swing as I walk. It feels like cheesecloth. Easy to cut, sew and finish, and a good deep black. And the ordering and delivery process was excellent: it arrived early! I’ll certainly use Pound Fabrics again!

Oh this is gorgeous material for cooler days. I made this pinafore so that I can wear a jumper underneath or a t shirt when it is warmer. Its soft and warm. Needs serging as it frays but not an issue. Lovely fabric

Bought this to go with navy melange knit pj topI made a couple of months ago. Pre washed with no apparent shrinkage, cut out yesterday and completed today. Fabulous fabric to work with and excellent value for money. What’s not to like ,oh and didn’t need ironing either. Bonus.

We chose this for the colour and it was just right! I wanted a cheap velvet look fabric for this costume and it turned out well. I sewed the coat with cotton backing on each pattern piece. The fabric is extremely stretchy in all directions and would be perfect for dance/gymnastics costumes.

Lovely to work with. Minimal fray and shrinkage. Cuts well and goes through machine lovely. Pattern has a large repeat so pattern matching takes a little while but not too difficult once you spot the repeat. Not the thickest fabric for a shirt but easily adequate enough. Clearly I won't be wearing this shirt week in week out!!

I liked this fabric so much that I ordered more. I used a Style Arc pattern and think it looks good. The fabric is very fluffy after cutting, but I put it in the dryer for a few minutes and that takes off the fluffy. I then overlock all the pieces.

I used this fabric to make a Henry VIII costume. It has a great quality look and was a perfect representation of cloth of gold. A little tricky to sew as the threads tended to catch but I am very pleased with the end result. I hoped to buy some more to make a queen costume, but unfortunately it is now out of stock.

I always choose PF wool blend for winter coats or jackets. Lovely and soft and drapes well, making it comfortable to wear. Frays a little once cut, but sews beautifully on machine or overlocker.

Gorgeous wool mix fabric, very easy to work with. I pre-washed in the machine on the wool-cycle and dried it flat on a clothes horse. I was worried the surface might go all felty in the wash, but it turned out great.

I love this fabric! I have never sewn fleece before and was really surprised how simple it was to cut out - it didn't shed at all. My sewing machine struggles with thick fabrics usually, but I used a sharp needle and had no problems at all. I made a very cosy "Hot Coffee" hooded top (the cotton lycra on the bands and lining was from PF a while ago).

This fabric is very fine with a sliver lurex thread running through it. I made a wrap cardigan with it and found it pleasant to work with. I intend to order more in other colours as I like it so much. Sadly the photo does not show the colours well.
