I bought this in aubergine but definitely brown. Would have loved the blue but unfortunately was sold out. Not normally my colour but not to be defeated carried on regardless and tried out a new pattern as well. Used McCall's M8284. Ended up with a pleasing result and we'll fitting dress. Nice material to work with. Very soft needlecord.

Lovely fabric which is wonderful to sew with as it doesn’t fray. I used my walking foot and a jersey needle. Myrtle the whippet can report that her new coat passed the wind proof test with flying colours. Surprisingly warm while being very light. Will test in a shower if Myrtle agrees to go out in the rain! About to order some more in a plain colour to make more dog coats for her sister and friends.

I am a complete novice and this is my first ever attempt at sewing clothes. From a distance (and perhaps with the lights off) it looks almost like a t-shirt. I chose this fabric to practice on. It is very forgiving when the seams need unpicking and behaved itself well when sewing. The selection of fabric here is such good value that I’m looking forward to ordering more to practice with!

This purple crinkle polyester is a winner with me. Washed brilliant, dried almost instantly and didn’t really need ironing but I ran the iron over it quickly. It was ever so slightly springy to cut out. I made the mistake of using a perfect match thread which came with my sewing machine but it seemed to wrinkle the seams so I unpicked them and used Gutermann, now perfect seams! I’ve worn them today and love them, there’s virtually no wrinkles and the good news, they only cost me about £1.50 in f...

Love the colours of this fabric, felt thick when it came and after washing became even thicker, will be lovely for the cold weather but a bit warm at the moment! Came very quickly from PF as usual.

I used this fabric to make a dress suitable for work. This fabric is a lot heavier than I thought it would be, which isn’t a bad thing - you can see that it is such great quality and it keeps me warm on a brisk day! It was easy to sew.

I wasn't sure about this fabric when it arrived. But now it's made up into a dress I love it. It'll be ideal for a holiday in Greece next month.

Bought this at a great price to try out some patterns without it costing a fortune if it didn’t work out. Made a T shirt/ cooling vest for my Doberman and really pleased with the finished item. 4 way stretch making it very easy to sew. Hoping to get same quality but different designs at a similar price . Fast delivery and great service as always from poundfabrics

I’m a complete newbie at sewing but I love using this fabric to make my first dress as well as a patchwork wall hanging! The fabric arrived quickly and safely. I would highly recommend this place for fabric :)

Beautiful fabric, very soft and doesn't crease. I have never worked with seersucker before though and didn't realise that you can't really press it. That was tricky to get a nice finish. I didn't expect that. Love it though.

This fabric was perfect for my daughter’s outdoor furniture. I made new covers for her large corner sofa. The fabric feels strong, looks amazing and so easy to work with. These were all box cushion covers with zipper closures. Very happy and so is my daughter. Thank you

Made the Rivelin Dress by Izzosew on her sewing retreat. Prewashed it and the texture came up more like a linen from the smooth texture when it arrived. I expected this but I recommend you prewash the fabric.

What's not to love? I bought this to use for a toile before making this Tessuti Tosca tunic! At 50p per metre for seconds quality it didn't matter if it went wrong. Instead, I've ended up with a finished tunic which I'll be wearing as it looks so good! And I still have more left to use for other 'toiles'!

Not yet decided whether to make trousers or flared skirt with this fun fabric but animal prints are always in fashion, so timeless. Very soft and looking forward to making it up.

Ah, fabulous fabric! Beautiful Orchid portrayal. That, combined with ease of sewing this fabric, makes it a delight to use. The digital enhanced imprinting on the fabrics are amazing. I've sent for another fabric design but they obviously are very popular because I couldn't order as much as I wanted! Sold out.

Good quality, heavy duty, waterproof fabric. Perfect for covering an old greenhouse frame to repurpose it as an outside shoe store. Quite stiff and a challenge to sew but very happy with the result

I bought just one metre of this Linen feel 100% cotton as I wanted to see how the fabric looked and felt. Very pleased with the quality and look it has a texture which comes up even better after its wash . I think this is superb quality for the price and wouldn’t hesitate to buy more for larger projects.

I made an extra long and wide table runner. The fabric was a nice, medium weight and it cut and sewed beautifully. It is a maroon colour with a hint of black. Looks quite stunning.

Gorgeous fabric. I made a Sylvia Coatigan from Sew Over It. Easy to work with, but you do have to handle it gently as it is quite a loose weave and will start the fray. Very pretty colours and warm. As it is wool it is itchy on the skin, so would need to be lined. Perfect for Autumn.

Beautiful drape on this fabric and it has quite a silky feel to it. A bit slippy to cut out, but nothing loads of pins and weights didn't help with. I made a peasant style blouse by Style Arc with it and it turned out great. Colour is perfect for me and the fabric pattern itself is ideal for this blouse.

I like the colour and pattern of this fabric and I decided to make the long version of the Stevie dress/tunic by Chalk and Notch with it. This fabric was perfect for the pattern, it has a lovely drape and was easy to work with. A little slippy when cutting out so I used loads of pins and weights which did the trick.

Made a large beach bag for my son & his family. Outer fabrics is Pound Fabrics too, from a couple of years ago. The ripstop fabric is soft and easy & to work with. Not as stiff as previous water resistant fabric I have used. Definitely recommend the fabric & would buy it again.

Lovely thick fabric. Is a nice grey but considering dyeing it as it is pure cotton so will be possible. I just quite like the idea of a purple skirt.

Lovely quality fat quarters which I used to make a festival table runner. I reused an old tablecloth for the plain sections. Fabric was nice to sew with & had a little bit of glitter in which added a bit of festival sparkle to my Christmas table. The bias binding I used was also from Pound Fabrics & complimented thr fabric nicely. Very pleased.

This is lovely stuff. It is quite thin but I was banking on that. Runs through the machine lovely and the design is properly square so pattern matching is a dream. Well done PF, another absolute winner!

Used this linen to make a shirt dress. Lovely to sew with- it frays easily but very easy to work with. Presses easily, nice and stable to sew, but has a good drape. Sturdy enough for a collar to hold its shape. Lovely retro vibe to the pattern!

Love this fabric, it's stunning! Very easy to sew, and looks even better made up. I also really like that the print goes through to both sides of the fabric. Looks like I'll be stocking up on batik shortly.

I made the Bakerloo blouse by Nina Lee. It was easy to work with, pressed well and feels nice to wear. I bought four metres and used over 3. I’ve also made a few scrunchies with the scraps. It’s a beautiful fabric and I would buy more if it came back in stock.

My third dress in this fabric - what's not to like. Terrific value and makes up quite easily - just have to watch the creases in the seams. Light but not see through.

Fabric is a lovely colour and feels like a good quality jersey. Thick enough to make a dress for my 10 year old granddaughter. Haven’t had time to make it yet but will post a pic when I do.
