I bought (2) 105mm wheels to experiment rockering a new 3-wheel X 110mm FR skate frame. Worked great!! I'm a skateIA inline skate instructor teaching slalom & freestyle using skates I get from FR & Seba, and recently tried a 3-wheel 110 setup which was like steering a supertanker, which didn't work for my skating style. The 105 size is perfect for rockering this FR frame and makes it fun for quick turning highly maneuverable urban skating. I might get a 2nd pair to try double rockering (105-...

Bont helped me build my dream skates! When I realized you could create your own colorway I became obsessed with the idea and took my time, (about 3 weeks) to design them. I matched their purple and blue Royal Assassins with similar colors for the boots but kept all the high-wear areas black for longevity. The silver Athena plates were out of stock when I ordered but I included a note requesting a change to black which they were happy to oblige and sure enough they made the change and I’m very ha...

It has got to the point when you get another set of wheels, you know they are going to get a wheel bag to keep them contained and out of harm's way while they are not being used. Since I have found BONT's wheel bags, every set of wheels has a bag now. There are other brands and styles out there, and I have many of them. They all do the job. But for the price of the BONT wheel bag gives you high quality, very consistent dimensions, and high serviceability. If they are not in the original packagin...

Absolutely love my new custom skates. Usually there’s a break in period but once we put them in the oven and shaped them to my feet they feel great. I didn’t get any blisters. And they feel like socks on my feet as I’m skating. I’ve skated 4 sessions (3 hours each) so far and haven’t had any problems. I’ve gotten so many compliments. They do look like the pink and black stock boots… but I purposely did that, I made them opposite colors of what they were stock. I didn’t want to look down and see...

These things are really nice! Immediately easier to do some of the stuff I was already doing on the floor. They also look excellent and a much stiffer version of what I had before with the other brands. Now when these were on sale they weren't much more than the skates I had already bought which was two different brands of the same style. The extra money is so well spent because it's like a whole another jump to a whole another level. I personally don't see how these other skates get away with s...

This is a great bearing for any wheel you choose to put it in. It is very well made, solid, and runs true and fast out of the box. When you clean it, both shields are removable, allowing for complete cleaning and drying. When you relub them, the shields snap right back in. Other brands of bearing shields have not been of high enough quality to snap back in or even stay in after you take them out once. The BONT shields "Snap" back in and stay in. (Nice detail) A really great bearing to serve you...

The most comfortable skates I have ever worn. I almost exclusively wear Altras & Chacos, so my toes were DYING in my other skates. I saw Bont recommended on a Reddit thread about wide toe-box skates and was delighted to see the anatomically shaped boots. After a lot of hemming and hawing, second guessing my color and wheel choices, and measuring my feet multiple times… I finally went for it. They’re so perfect. I could go on for ages about these skates. I LOVE MY BONTS!! (And I love my Shimmer S...

Ages ago, I read a piece by Alex Bont arguing that the biggest ROI a skater can get isn't from expensive bearings, but from expensive wheels. I was skeptical. I’d already noticed that the best bearings are usually just new bearings, and the brand almost doesn't matter—though I will say Bont’s pro bearings are excellent and seem to stay "brand-new slick" much longer than others. Since I started inline skating four years ago (starting at age 36, ha ha), I’ve found my theory on bearings to be true...

Hi Bont team ❗️ I put Bont wheels on the Tracer NTS roller skate plates and mounted them on my CCM ice hockey boots, and it was so much fun to skate! ❗️ I felt that this plate performs best when I shift my weight slightly toward the back. Center balance is ideal, of course, but when I lean a little too far forward, I lose speed. Still, thanks to you, I was able to enjoy skating very comfortably. ❣️ I’m really looking forward to mounting the ZEUS NTS next time. 🛼 But before that, there’s someth...

These are working out so far, though I do need ankle padding and I had to add an insert inside- not sure if that means they should have been smaller but seem to perform well. The grip piece broke but they sent a replacement right away (though the wrong color…). I am still getting used to them as the lift is different than my previous chassis, but I am able to rocker them and I’m getting mobility similar to urban type or hockey skates. I did custom the holes to fit a standard chassis, and somet...
