I grew up in a generation that watched service men and women from the Vietnam War not only go unrecognized, but get ostracized, spit on, and cursed. I saw the effects on people just barely older than I was as they were not reverred as soldiers in WW1 and WW2 had been. This added to their trauma and scars from the war. I served in the US Navy for 25 years, joining in 1975 and I can remember how I was treated out in The public. Now I carry these coins with me wherever I go and if I see a World War II vet or Vietnam war vet with her ball caps on I just may walk up to them and hand them a coin and tell them thank you for their service and that they will not be forgotten. Couple days later makes them feel remembered and it makes me feel good as well.

This was not for me but for my Father who was in the USMC then USMCR VMA232 and was in charge of Ordinates. He retired after 30 years as a Master Sargent. When I gave it to him he Loved it. I also bought one for my car mechanic who was in the Vietnam War. I think he will like it too🇺🇸.

Ordering multiple pins like this one was one of the best ideas I ever had. When I go to an event in my town, I sometimes come across another Navy veteran. One female veteran saw my pin, and said how beautiful it was, and wished she had one. I took the pin off my jacket, and gave it to her. You to think I've proposed to her and gave her a diamond ring. My father worked at Bell Helicopter for 35 years. He was the Design Engineer on the Huey Team. The Bell Cobra was his project and he retired as one of Bell's VPs.
