This helps me remember all those men & women who sacrificed, suffered & some whom fully gave their all in the battlefields of Viet Nam. I will never stop thinking of those who are still there, because they gave their lives for my freedoms, & never had the chance to 'come home'. I can look out across the bay and See North Island, Coronado Naval Base, so I meet quite a few Veterans and Active service members of all branches. I love sharing the 'Thank You For Your Service' Challenge Coins with fellow veterans. I walk up to strangers who are wearing veteran hats, place the coin in my hand and shake hands with them, transferring the coin. I say, "Thank You for your service." It has generated some wonderful conversation. I do not mention I am a veteran - the appreciation is about them! I especially love sharing with World War II heroes!

I have enjoyed presenting veterans I meet out and about with the coins. I will continue to say thanks to our veterans. These coins generate good will and a smile every time. Have truly enjoyed and felt blessed while giving out the coins. However, I have an issue of ordering and paying for 40 coins and only receiving 20. After several attempts to resolve this issue, I have not received a response. Any help and contact information would be appreciated. Would like to order more coins, but will not do so until current issue is resolved.

My husband walked point with his service dog while serving in Vietnam. They protected each other and he was grateful he had Duke. My husband did get hit with shrapnel and ended up being medically discharged. He did receive 2 Purple Hearts. He said his saddest day was the day they led Duke off and he kept looking back at him. He did eventually find out Duke was KIA. He still talks about his buddy to this day.
