Finally found a replacement filter for GE XWFE with a chip that works. I was really angry that GE had changed the filters and the only compatibles we the GE brand with a chip for $50-$55 a piece. Tried other sites and ended up with counterfeit "OEM". These work perfect and we're easy to install.

This RO system is was super easy to install. The build quality seems good. The main thing though is the water quality! I have been drinking my well water for 5 years with only a sediment filter. The water out of this RO system is incredible! It tastes unlike any water I have ever had in my life, it is so clean.

Where have you been for last few years??? After paying through the nose for OEM GE XWFE filters I was about to give up on filters and just install a plug. In one last act of despatation I came across Glacier Fresh and decided to give their filters a chance in my GE Cafe French Door fridge. They fit perfectly and no chip error messages. I got this mainly to use for camp use, as the design is really excellent for this application. It works very similarly to backpack hiking water filtration systems, with a long hose that goes into the source water with clean, filtered water being deposited into a nice pitcher, sort of coffee pot style.

I will say it significantly improved the taste of the water and the water quality is obviously better. I live this system does not use electricity!! It had no noise! I took a tds meter and checked different water and it’s done a really great job with our not so great city tap water!I would recommend this unit especially given its price and affordability!

The initial shipping delivery was held up by the post office, but when notified, Glacier customer service jumped on it immediately and got the shipment expedited to me this week. The delivery was packaged perfectly and the filters looked to be exactly like the original in terms of size shape and installation procedure.
