I used it a few times already,,,, It works great with the Rod or Flint and Steel,,,, but I have a good supply of Charcloth,,, So I'll save in the pouch with the Rod for a "Git that fire goin NOW" event. And I'll order a couple of extra wicks soon,,, just to have them on hand.

Just what I wanted for my bug out bag. With limited space but the need to start a survival fire this is just what I wanted. I use with cotton balls soaked in Vaseline then stuffed into a small plastic jar. This ignites these no problem. Thanks for the nice starter.

Great fire starter! The Hexa Fire hexagonal format produced optimal sparking for easily starting fires. I would strongly recommend the Tindar Wick and Bellow Set for reliable and one-stroke flames, especially if natural tinder quality is marginal.

On a camping trip, my best friend admired my Lore Kuksa, so I bought him the Lore as well as the Kanu Spoon as a Christmas gift. There's never a better review than to buy one for someone else. I'll probably buy one for me, too. It appears to be just the right size to use with either the 8 or 12oz Kuksas.

Tindar wick is easy to lite. A couple scratches to the Wick with the knife. A spark from the ferro rod, and flame is made. It really is that easy to get a flame. And this is from a complete novice in this arena. I am looking forward to improving my outdoors skills. This product will a valuable tool in my outdoor adventures.

I then decided to get the two-holed variety for my adult kids and their spouses for Christmas presents-- they loved them. The Firekit is a great add to any kit or jumpbag. You can pack a lot in the case (2 wicks), striker, and Rod. I added two pieces of char cloth to the kit to make it bombproof. The small size and low weight makes it perfect for any UL Hiker.

Stove is a little smaller than you might gather from just the photo, so pay attention to dimensions provided. Titanium model is extremely lightweight, compact, portable, sturdy seeming, and even pleasing to the eye. Canvas carrier is also good quality.

Order this set back in December and when it arrived the spoon was chipped. I emailed customer service and received an immediate response and a confirmation email that another spoon had been ordered to replace the one I received. Less than two hours later I received another confirmation that my order had been shipped. The customer service at Uberleban is first class. This is a great kit for everyday carry or to tuck away in a backpack or glove box in your car. The case and ranger band keeps everything tight and organized in this compact but effective case. The Extra Tindar Wick is a nice add. Gives great spark with every strike! Wish I had bought more. Next time they are available GRAB ONE...they go quick.

The fire wick is a great idea and helps me quickly catch a spark from my Uberleben fire rod. I fray the end and hold it with my striker as I scrape the fire rod; presto! I usually get it the first strike saving my rod and permitting me to reach the flame into a stove or tinder to easily start a fire in tight place that is difficult to direct sparks into. Only complaint is I wish the hemp wicks were about twice as long. Thanks Uberleben!

Replacement wicks are like the one that came with the Uberleben wick. I wish they were about twice as long, but still a great value as they create an easily carry of more fire power. Thank you Uberleben for a great product that is easy to light with a ferro rod and easy to snuff out to use again. Great product!

Great large fire rod. I'm getting old; my hands shake and fine motor movements are not so fine these days. I imagine in freezing conditions the situation would be worst. The eight (8) inch uberleben fire rod is easy to hold and sends out a grand finale of sparks which easily lights my tinder or uberleben fire wick. I have no trouble lighting my wood stove now and can easily light alcohol stoves to fine shavings. Thank you Uberleben for a great fire rod.

This is the perfect cup, for our camping trailer. We sit around the campfire, in the evenings. I don’t have to worry about breaking ceramic cups or worse, using disposable ones. Keeps my coffee so much hotter, longer. I can’t believe how comfortable it is to hold! I can even use it for dinner, with mt wonderful spoon! Only hitch, now everyone else wants one. I guess I can give them the info🙂
