I recently purchased several Uberleben products. A ferrocerium fire sparker, Tindar rope kindling and a titanium Stokker twig stove. All have exceeded my expectations. The size is perfect, you can by the 5 dollar grocery store model that is one step above useless, or a hex steel,that once you learn how to use it ,the spark is incredible.this product is the best i have ever used in the Alaskan bush.we hunt remote,and there are no 7/elevens so the product has to work.

The Zunden starter is great and definitely a step up from the thin rod I was using. It throws ample sparks and having the scraper corded to it is super handy. The paracord lanyard is good quality and long enough for easy use of the tools. I have no doubt this is going to be a good addition to my pack.

I haven't had a chance to use this in the wild yet but I did experiment with it on a quick trial run and made a quick breakfast and it was so lightweight I was able to include it in my small pack. I absolutely LOVE this product and can't wait to use it on my next backpacking trip in December. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! It was so easy to set up! Definitely do yourself a favor and grab one.

Hmm, what can I say? Well of course, the straight on and true. This stove is right on and that’s true from the get go out of shipping package. As soon as this stove comes out of mailing it’s ready for use. It carries light and simple. It performs most clean and effective. It cleans well and of course is back to packed well and carries well. Also to note: thefire igniting ferrous and metal tools from Uberleben are quite practically effective.

The Hex Rod is awesome. this thing is huge compared to other commercially available ferro rods. The length gives you tons of sparks. If you can't get your tinder bundle ignited with one draw on the Hex Rod then your doing it wrong.

This is an amazing product! It's like having a big match that you can always light. I have used it in wet conditions and it works perfectly. It takes no time to light the wick. I will be buying the replacement wicks as soon as they are back in stock.

What more can i say, it starts a fire extremely quick because of the shower of sparks it yields with every stroke. No more fumbling with matches or a lighter and where matches and lighters fail when they get wet this fire steel works no matter what. Just wipe it of and you are ready to go. I'm very glad i purchased these steels they will last me a very long time. Can't wait for the next time I need to use it . Thanks for a great product.

I bought the stove and ferro rods for my hunting pack. Since I retired I have more time to enjoy the outdoors and not on a time frame. So, if it gets late while I am outdoors I have the equipment to get through the night comfortably. I purchased the titanium stove to cut weight on my pack. I have not been out in the mountains this season to use the stove, but I tried it at home and it works as advertised. So far, so good!

Already have a "mini" flat-pack twig stove from another manufacturer, but also wanted a "grande" for bigger pots and the Uberleben doesn't disappoint. Went for the Ti model and very happy with the build quality, stability, fit and finish...all great. And the canvas pouch makes it easy to stow back in the bag without getting everything sooty...nice! Well-built, thoughtful product. Would recommend.

Bought this for my 9 year old's birthday along with a Lodern fire starter and the fire starting wick. We spent the camping trip cooking Ramen and hot cocoa from "scratch". Uberleben products never cease to amaze me for their fine quality, simplicity and thought out design and function. I recently procured some neck worn ferro rods with strikers and they're cool as heck. A good friend at hunting camp took notice of it and talked me out of it.
