Although we’ve only had it for a short time, it has already made our fire starting easier! It’s so simple to use, my kids now light the campfire.

I spend a fair amount of time in the Rockies trekking remote areas. A reliable fire system is essential and this one is the best!

Have purchased several other fire steel from other makers ( before I found Uberleben) but hands down Uberleben’s are the BEST! Produce great shower of sparks from the Zunden. Have bought more for Christmas presents this year and have given as gifts to buddies who like to get out and “rough it”, even if only in back yard. Darik, Will, and Dad are great to work with. I had ordered several items and all arrived as ordered in a VERY timely manner. Will certainly be working with these guys again in ...

First time using a ferro rod but got to say this thing throws sparks. Using some fat wood shavings it only took 5 strikes to get a blazing fire going. Great product!

High quality fire steel with pleasant wooden handle. Lies well in the hand and with the multi-tool scraper can always remove enough material to start a fire. Even nicer would be the fire steel with leather strap.

I really do enjoy this cup. Not only does it look beautiful, but there is something about drinking from a wooden cup that is aesthetically pleasing. I have the largest version and wish there was one in more of a mug size. That would make it perfect.

Fluffed up the bitter end and it caught a spark right away. A welcome addition to a daypack or BOB. 😎

Love these cups. We use them for our morning brew over a campfire. Plus they are unique and no one else we know has them.

I’m not lying when I say I use this thing almost daily. I make my coffee with it, my dinner, it’s so awesome. I use it in my backyard even when there is a microwave inside...why? Because I can and because it’s awesome...and with the Uberleben Stove, you can even heat up your can a soup like a cave man. I love fire...so thank you Uberleben!!!!

I have stainless steel version, used it to boil water and am very pleased! It is easy to assemble and works great! Easy to disassemble and packs flat, so take anywhere and weighs less than a pound! Doesn’t take much, just dry bark, twigs and pine cones…. Very stable for its size! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I camped over Thanksgiving break and used this once. It was great. I built other fires over the trip, but I am keeping this for when I cannot find dry tinder. I had no issues finding dry tinder, but wanted to try the wick. That is the reason I only used it for one fire over the five days.

I acquired two 5" Kraftig rods. I have a relatively standard use case focused on EDC and emergency preparedness so this selection seemed correct for me. The 5" length fits comfortably in my kit and pack. The extra thick rod inspires long term usability. The striker provided is attached by durable rawhide cordage threaded through a machined hole in the rod. The knot on the rawhide was serviceable, though I did retie it due to extra twist in the cordage. Initial strikes were hard and cumbersome. W...

Great little kit. It works! I'm very impressed with the kit and the functionality. Definitely something that should be in everyone's bug out kit. I've given several as gifts. Well done!

I love it. Good quality. You could improve it a lot by including a pouch of some sort. I like to pack it in my motorcycle saddle bags and I had to buy a small zipper pouch to keep the glass protected in storage

I’ve just given this as an early Christmas present to a young graduate from West Point. To say he was both thrilled and grateful to have a reliable method of creating fire while in the field, is an understatement.

Have to say, I’m really liking this ferro rod. I think this is an ingenious design. Not only is it really fun to handle, the flat edges throw a better spark better than most of the more expensive ones we’ve used & allow the user a much better grip. This makes so much more sense than round rods. In fact the only thing I could imagine making it any nicer would to be to being add a wooden handle and a cap to Regardless, I feel great about this product should I ever find myself having to rely on it.

Beats a flint and steel anytime. We can still use a char cloth for ultra primitive skill training. Perfect for younger people not to get discouraged when trying to get an ember on a char cloth or use the wick it is outstanding

Absolutely wonderful product. I bought this for use with my 9 year old son. Teaching him outdoor skills is fantastic. This wick makes the task enjoyable for both of us.

I really like the earth tone gray color as well as the leather adjustable strap. It fits good to my head and doesn't seem to irritate.

The trick to making this work was having the right tinder. I tried on two different occasions and was getting nowhere, even with wisps of dead plant matter. It also took me a while to figure out how to produce a spark. Finally, on the second try, I was producing big sparks—and as soon as I added a sample of dried cattail for tinder, the fire lit instantly.

First try and I had a flame. Then sliding the bellows over it you put it out immediately. This along with the extra tinder I bought gives me piece of mind and an easy way to get a fire going.

I loved the stainless-steel version, but a friend like it so much that I gave it to her as a gift. Then, I discovered the Titanium version! I bought one for myself and one for my daughter a former marine. I really love how light they are, and they fill a very practical in any bushcrafter's arsenal!

I bought on for myself, then I bought one for my daughter! Now, I have to buy more for friends and family, because they are threatening to steal them from one another! That should tell you how much these are in demand!

Impressed with company, products, quality, and service. Got a small Kuska, fire wick, hex fire starter, pot and collapsible stove. All top notch products that are much more earthy and closer to the outdoor experience when you don't want or need the higher tech stuff.

These wicks are a good idea. I plan to look for a couple of very small diameter pieces of brass or copper gas pipe, that these wicks can fit snuggly into.
