I think this might be the best anamorphic lens for phonography on the market. Color, clarity, sharpness are all up there. It took me a bit to figure out that the barrel actually rotes to align it to your phone. Once I found this out, the statements on the website jumped right out to me. Until then, it went right by me. The information is definitely there. Having all the necessary details front and center in one place might help people like me actually see it.

The build quality is excellent. My only concern is with iPhone 14 ProMax it is heavy to use long term. I have found that using it on a monopod certainly helps as I do quite a bit of stills photography. What would be very nice is for BeastCam to make a simple adapter (like Moment) so that if you only want to travel light and just carry lenses then it would save all the hassle of carrying the Cage. Not sure after the upgrade time/cost it has value especially with the reduction of image area. Seems like as much loss as gain of new image sensor size on iPhone 12 Pro Max. And it would be nice to easily make use of the other iPhone built in lenses combined with the MK2.

It’s a beast - grip. While it seems to have plenty of ¼-20 attachment points, I’d like a few more and have them spread out across both the bottom and top, as well as the sides. It would be nice to be able to detach just the grip handle to facilitate upside down mounting on a gimble, in order to achieve better balance. sound quality, but it is more suitable for recording outdoors than indoors, in a closed room it tends to muffle for voice recording it is of quality but for an instrument such as a guitar a piano it is not perfect

Solid, light weight and compact tripod that get's the job done. Works fantastic for my Beastcage and pro lens attachments, however with a DOF rig, the head struggles to maintain it's position with larger lenses. With the quality of Beastgrip products, I would definitely be interested in a beefier head, or pro level tripod and head that can better handle heavier rigs rather than looking elsewhere to fill that need.
