The cage is heavy which can make it awkward for a daily use case, but I feel it's worth dealing with the heavy just for the ease of access for that unexpected right now quicker shot. My only dislike is that you can't use camera lens protection for the phone itself, I'm constantly worried about scratching my actual phone lens, so therefore continuously extra cautious all the time. If there were maybe a screw-on m37 fixed lens cap that would fit the cage, just for protecting your phone's camera ...

still beginning to work with the cage and the iPhone 13 pro. One suggestion for the cage would be the inclusion of two 1/4 20 threaded mounts on the left side so that an additional handle could be easily mounted. This would be useful for additional control and stabilization. A handle would also facilitate keeping your left hand out of the lens angle.

I actually like this cage a lot, but the weight keeps me from loving it. On the one hand, the weight might be considered a plus, as it does contribute to making the videographer subconsciously treat the phone as more of a professional piece of camera equipment rather than a phone. The cage fits the phone great. This allows me to attach a light and/or a microphone and attach the phone to a tripod. I have to admit, though, I am a bit disappointed in the image quality of the lenses I have owned for the past few years. My Beastgrip 2x lens doesn’t look anywhere close to as good as the native iPhone 3x lens. And my wide angle isn’t nearly as wide as the native lens. I use the DOF MK2 (which, by the way, is superbly engineered) with Nikkor 85 mm f/1.8 and 80-200mm f/2.8 lenses and as an addition to my other lenses for my iPhone. I have to crop slightly in post-production and most of the time the result is very nice-looking in video. On the other hand, in photography, the flaws are quite obvious: we can see the pattern of the focusing screen as well as noise that I convert into a very nice film grain thanks to Lightroom.

This BGS300 Action grip with 2 rails is very solid and a great addition to a Beastgrip Pro cage even if you don't need additional mounts for accessories... the improved ergonomics and extra hand grip options are worth the money and extra weight right out of the box. I purchased this tripod to use with my iPhone 14 pro max. I'm thinking of using it instead of my DSLR for an upcoming vacation. feels really well built, not to heavy but it has heft to it. you can adjust a lot of things to be able to fit your phone on it and the camera line up. it know it would take some magic but if it had something that will let you adjust the adapter to the camera lens distance so phone protectors can be used that would make this product perfect. Its main issues stem from being massive and heavy, meaning there is no smartphone-only gimbal on the market that can hold it due to both weight and size restrictions. The ability to fit any phone is amazing as is the screw in lens and filter option. It’s just a pinch too big to balance perfectly on a Weebill 3.

The general feel is not too bad, but a bit too light for my liking. I was expecting something more modular. More screw holes would be nice. Balancing the pro rig on a gimbal is tricky and needs counterweights because the iPhone 15pro max is top-heavy and no way of flipping it upside down on the pro rig. Overall the material feels ok but with a few additions, this could be the touches standard for mobile cages. I hope to see a better version next time.
