I bought a Beastgrip Pro to facilitate the crossover from an SLR to an iPhone as my primary touring camera, and for its universality. I then added ¼-20 D-rings and a Peak Design camera strap for transport to complete my rig. I shot the majority of my pictures on a recent tour with the lens mount removed, using the grip to hold my phone, and reattaching the lens mount and anamorphic lens for wide-angle shots. Functions overall very well. I like the fact that I can use with the normal iPhone lens, making it less wide (closer to 40mm in a 35mm camera) Sharp, and adaptable to various focal length requirements. Have a bit of an issue when a high level of brightness hits the very corner of the lens viewing angle. I get a color flare at the corner. Overall not an issue as I can flag off the light source if necessary.

I think that the 37 mm push on rear lens cap supplied on the Kenko Pro Series 0.75X Wide Angle Lens is a drop in Beastgrip standards considering the quality and price of this lens. The push on rear lens cap is fiddly to remove, absolute pain in the butt. This rear lens cap does not have the ease of use that screw on rear lens caps supplied with the Pro Series - Macro Lens, 1.7X Telephoto Lens and the 1.55X Anamorphic Lens MK2. No happy.

Great workmanship and easy to use. But there are also points of criticism in my opinion: First, if I buy a new iPhone next year, I'll probably have to buy a new beast case and throw the current one in the trash. Second, the red release button is very stiff. But overall the beastgrip is a great product.

The grip/handle works as advertised, BUT: the fact that the handle attaches to the spring-loaded phone clamp is kludgy. To really make the handle secure, I have to attach it to the piece that's holding the phone in place??? so when I pick up the beastgrip by the handle, it pulls the phone clamp up, loosening the grip on the phone. Or if I have to tighten the handle, it puts extra pressure on the phone. Am I missing something???
