We are extremely happy with our purchase. Instructions are poor, lots of mistakes and doesn’t show enough detail. You’ll have to learn as you go. You must install these in studs/joists, way too heavy for anchors and you must map out where you’re going to hide the cord in advance. We did ceiling mount which isn’t as easy as wall mount but I would only mount the valance on the ceiling otherwise you’ll get a gap at the top. Had some trouble with the set-up, BUT the customer service was great and very professional. It turned out to be a Google issue ( their customer service could learn some skills from smart wings!!!) shipping was faster than we expected, the product was well packaged. Amazing experience from start to finish. Shipping is so fast and well packaged. Very easy to install the brackets. Hold the button for six seconds to pair the zigbee motor with a SmartThings hub. Customer service is incredible they shipped me a replacement blind for an issue I had and I was up and running in a week. Great company great product, they deserve the praise they are getting.

I ordered these blinds because the options were exactly what I was looking for and the price was much lower than the options at the local retailers. When they arrived it took me about 10 minutes per blind to install. Integration with Alexa was super easy. Love these blinds and I'm about to order some more for another room.

I was slightly worried that the blind would be too wide to pass the tiles half way up the window aperture. This was not an issue. I didn't use the included screws, as they were too long for my particular case. Once the clips were installed, the blind clipped in nicely. I didn't get the solar panel as level as I would have liked, but this is no reflection on the product. It was very easy to set up and connect to Home Assistant. I exposed it to Google Home and that works perfectly. The ZigBee version seems to have a problem (in Home Assistant) that the open/close status seems to be reversed. When using the blinds with Google however, the open/close status is correct! SmartWings seem to be of good quality and were easy to install. Programming with Alexa was a bit of a challenge. I wanted the blinds on a timer which can be done with an Alexa routine but I found it to be much simpler to program a sunrise to sundown routine with the smart hub.

Happy with the product, measurements were perfect, valance looks nice, matter motor works well & easy to set up. (I have a Nest Hub as the border router and using HomeAssistant as well which worked easily). We did order the fabric samples which I'm glad we did (ended up picking a different fabric than we would have based on pictures alone). I like the fabric we picked, I wish it was slightly more blackout for our use case but overall it's good fabric.

The Dual Shades are beautiful and work smoothly. The hardware, remote and Z-Wave functionality are all solid, but the installation instructions are poorly written and needlessly frustrating. Many installation details are omitted. I would buy the product again without hesitation.

The inside mount fits up perfectly. The top of the blind fit up near flush to the ceiling. The finished edge makes them look very clean. I love these blinds and will probably install more onto other windows.

The shade shipped from China 3 days after placing the order. It took another 11 days to arrive at my home. It was very easy to install, taking only 15 minutes. I was able to add it to my Apple HomeKit system on the first try! If it continues to be reliable I intend on purchasing another 20 shades for a new home.

Installed these roller blinds in two, east facing dormer windows on second floor. They are inside mount. The width of the upper housing was the same as the measurements I provided. They were super tight! Once installed they work fantastic! I used the Z-Wave motor and have them connected to my Vera hub. The SmartWings drapery rod works exactly as I expected. It is smooth and quiet in operation. Installing the rod on the wall went well. The instructions that came with the rod are lacking in some details, but an email to SmartWings customer service took care of that. They were quick to respond to my two questions. Only time will tell me how durable the device is but I think it is well built with good material and should last a long time.

I have installed automated blinds several times, and I have to say SmartWings surpassed my expectations. Easy to install (frankly I did it better than the professionals because of how easy the instructions were) and they are quieter than some others in the market. So far so good. My only advise is maybe to create a paper template and include it in the box so it is easier for people who are not too handy.

I was weary of motorized blinds because the windows in our cabin are huge (4' x 7'). They are so smooth and they open and close at exactly the same pace. For this price it is almost too good to be true. Now I'm buying one for the 9' window! Great purchase!

Love these shades! I never realized just how much sunlight entered my room until I saw the difference the filtered shades made. So much easier on the eyes! I also got the solar panel, so I don’t need to worry about charging. The panel seemed to emit some sort of burning smell initially, but the smell went away after a few days. I made sure to disconnect the panel while I was away just in case, but I am able to keep it connected now and everything seems fine!
