The installation was really easy. The instructions did a good job of showing how that process works. It took me a couple of times to figure out the programming of the shade using the instructions. All you really need to know is that you select the number on the remote you would like to assign to the shade. Purchased 9 shades to go all around a deck. Packaged well, no damage on arrival and delivered very fast. They forgot the extension brackets, were quickly shipped after contacting customer service. These smartblinds really make life much easier! We have done 2 rooms already, 1 room last year and 1 room now, all large windows and they work flawlessly! We get the Z-wave motors and they work perfect with our phone, Alexa or the remote. I am so impressed with my smartwings zipper track outdoor shades. I ordered 4 shades for my patio. They arrived within 2 weeks of ordering and were very well packaged to protect them and prevent any damage. The shade was extremely well packaged and arrived in excellent condition. Since I live in a remote mountain area, there is no professional installer nearby. With the help of my wife we managed to install the outdoor shade about 12 feet high above the floor.
