I just let my hair air dry then misted it with some water to dampen, then applied this product in a “plop” method with my head flipped over. Let the hair air dry and VOILA! I've bought a lot of products, gels, curl cream, sprays, that didn't work half as well as the combination of Montauk's Ocean Texture & Anti-frizz Wave Tamer. I use a pea and half size of each at the same time, emulsifying it in my hands before putting it on freshly washed (not dripping) hair. I comb thru, root clip, and don't touch it. It clumps automatically, air dries, and voila! Waves for days!

I'm always reluctant to click on social media ads but I did, and I am sooo glad I did. I'm always looking for a good hair thickener/texturizer, and the wave tamer looked fun for summer. So I bought both, as they were reasonably priced. The wave tamer smells amazing and feels great in my hair. Didn’t use it *quite* as the directions indicated, but I used about a quarter-sized blob, and pressed/rubbed it into my towel-dried hair last night (hair between hands, rubbing back and forth in sections), and then wrapped my hair up in a t-shirt and slept with it that way. This is what it looked like when I took it out of the t-shirt this morning, with a little upside down fluffing. Excellent product! Hoping it stays nice for a few days since I only wash twice a week.

This is a cool product. I used it in the shower after I squeezed the water out of my hair. Then I wrapped my hair in a towel and got dressed. I removed the towel and let air dry. Excuse the bit of frizz, I was out and got windblown but just look at the waves in my hair. Not a bit of crunchiness. I love it. Ordered the wave cream for the frizz too. Great brand. I got my hands on a sample tube and all I can say is this product is MIRACULOUS. My hair isn’t curly, it’s not straight, instead it’s a frustrating in-between combo.
