This is the third or fourth one I’ve bought. She doesn’t pluck all the time. But when she does I make her wear “the shirt” she tears all the frilly parts off. It keeps her busy and not plucking. Then all her feathers come back and she doesn’t have to wear it anymore

This product really works well. I had been using Pluck No More and there was some improvement but not long lasting. This Calming Powder is way better and results so far are standing the test of time!!

He’s wore the poncho for two months and his torso feathers have manages to grow back along with his tail feathers. He has fought to get it off and can’t. The only downside is I didn’t realize he was going to be as incapable of holding up his nuts and so forth.

My bird actually enjoys wearing this. She is cold natured, so her heated perch and vest with collar, keep her warmer. She stays busy with the collar, but never bothers the vest.

Easy to measure daily quantity for your bird. My green cheek conure took to these right away and got more excited about them over a few days. I wanted to replace millet treats with something more nutritional and this seemed like a great alternative. The seeds must be stored in the fridge and my bird is spending more time foraging nutritional goodies like this instead of picking. Overall she has been more relaxed, as in taking naps or playing with toys more, instead of over preening or plucking. ...

We bought this milk thistle powder for our chicken who has fatty liver issues. We sprinkle it onto yogurt for her to eat and she loves it! We're happy we found BirdSupplies.com because all of the other milk thistle we found online was for cats or dogs.

We have been using the fringy cone for the past year but our little girl figured out that if she really turns herself into a 'pretzel' she can reach and pluck the feathers on her legs. We recently received two of the kevlar vests and that seems to have done the trick. We do switch back and forth on the two styles as we noticed some missing feathers on the top of her wings where the fringy cones rest on her. We are amazed by how well she has accepted the cones/vests and thank you for providing...

Just started using it, so don't know if it is working yet or not to help with plucking. It seems to be a good quality product. The Day light is very bright. I like the night light, but my African Grey doesn't seem to like it much. She still tells me 'night night' when it is on.

Hi Diane - thank you for focusing on our wonderful birds and their 'issues.' I have been a customer for a while now. Your products have really helped! The one thing I would appreciate when reading about the products is whether or not there are any negative interactions using more than one product at a time. I see some information regarding 'feather up' for example, but I would rather KNOW than assume that they are all right to use together. Many thanks! Gayle [email protected]

This tea smells amazing and it only takes a teaspoon for your birds bowl. My Monk Parakeet didn’t seem to mind the taste which is excellent. I also broke a little up for his seed bowls.

I already knew hemp seed is good for humans, but didn't know it's benefit for birds. Better yet, my birds love it, and I know where to go to find it!

When I ordered poncho, Diane let me know it was discontinued due to death of seamstress. Diane’s taking the time to let me know the reason solidified my relationship with your small company. I did a query based on refund; I didn’t know if it was back ordered or discontinued. She replied promptly and kindly, and suggested alternatives.

It really helped for me to see another parrot owner talk about her experience with the product. she said her birds liked it. she thought it soothed their skin. I feel the same way. when I spray them they don't immediately put their beak down there to get it off or anything they just go play with their toys. One of my cockatoos plucks and I'm sure way past fixing it - she's just naked. but the other one really only does this during molting. And this product I believe is helping.

It was a blessings to have the shield and the frigid Collar. That helped him to not continued mutilating. Unfortunately my Nicki ( African Grey) passed away yesterday due to a respiratory failure .

The product isn’t overly oily and doesn’t have a very potent smell. Domino is catlike and hates sprays, so this has been a bit of a battle but he has calmed down.

Domino is more catlike than anything. We had tried a plastic cone before and that was pretty traumatic. He did have a bit of a freak out at first but now he is able to wear it without issue. I think the felt is a better choice for a bird than the plastic.

Diane is extremely helpful and is an excellent resource on bird behavior. She is very generous with her time and gave us many suggestions to make our conure more comfortable as he navigates through his first feather plucking experience. The products she sells are very high quality and do help alleviate his discomfort. I highly recommend www.birdsupplies.com.

It took awhile for my maluccan to get used to it … had to modify it a bit so he can lift his foot up to eat & climb . Was dissapointed when I ordered this one ( ordered 2 in the past ) I accidentally forgot to enter the coupon code & immediately e mailed the 3 times asking if they could apply it… no response whatsoever.. very disappointed in costumer support .

Behavior consultation was excellent. I appreciate the time Diane spent with me. She was thorough and covered many areas of focus to relieve the problem. Diane made great use of our zoom time by collecting background data on my pet and his living conditions prior to the consultation. She was well-prepared and familiar with his case. Thank you for your insights.

I didn’t buy any colors I bought the hemp seed which I was having a hard time finding at the local pet store that usually carries it. “Boo” is doing great she had a tough five years with my husband who is battling cancer she was his bird. He’s been gone almost a year now and she is doing fine I think she stressed out during his entire illness

My female cockatiel has been pulling out her pin feathers for months. Her thighs and under the wings areas were naked and looking inflamed. I have no idea what started it, but she screamed every time she pulled one, and then threw them and they would stick on the wall. After going to the vet, I got some coconut oil to put on her skin. It didn't seem to do much other than make her greasy. I ended up getting the Feather Soft, and I now see a few pin feathers coming in and she is not plucking/screa...

My quaker Tyler was self mutilating due to extreme pain. He was trying to get at the source. X-rays showed his one knee was 3x the size of the other. At first we thought it could be cancer (he is 29 yrs old)but then it started to heal and turned out to be arthritis of the knee. He is still healing and on pain medication 2x a day. This collar prevents him from attacking the knee and helps him to heal. Thank you.

So far so good. I got this for my 39 yr old cockatoo who picks her feathers and may pick so much she has an open wound. This keeps her busy so she can not pick her chest, but is soft and will not hurt her skin. I use this in combination with a body cover that covers her chest. So far very pleased. And she has not figured out how to pull it off yet…. Hopefully not.

Before i try the collar I decided to try the sprays to reduce the itchiness I saw in the bird which resulted in pulling out his feathers. I have only used the bird bath a couple of times and already he seems more comfortable. I want to comment on the service.. I received my order but it was incorrect due to the stress the store is under to fulfill orders quickly during the busy Christmas season. I contacted the owner immediately upon seeing the partially fulfilled order and boy was she quick on ...

Your collar design construction has changed my parrot from looking like a pteradactal to having feathers. However, if I take it off to long after allowing her to preen, I need to place collar back on. I wish I had indicted a pattern or darker color. White is going to look dirty fast. That's my fault for not being specific on collar color. Otherwise, a fantastic product! For those eho think they can make a similar coll I have tried, and, do not wish to purchase a heavy duty sewing machine ju...

I purchased this after a close friend lost a bird to advanced liver disease. This was an adopted bird, approximately 3 years old. The bird was fed budgie seed, cheese and junk food. Even though my birds are fed a healthy diet of mostly fresh vegetables, sprouts, pellets and occasional fruit. I’ll do whatever I can to keep them healthy. After listening to my mentor, Tony Silva, I was pleased to see you offer this supplement. My birds readily accept it. I sprinkle it on top of their chop. Thank y...

I started sprinkling this on my birds chop when she started molting. Even with daily baths she became very itchy. I do believe this along with the palm oil and coconut oil helped her immensely. Her itchy skin seemed relieved and she stopped scratching and constantly preening. She does still preen but isn’t so manic. Her new feathers are shiny and vibrant. I will continue to use these products.

My bird knows how to undo the Velcro fasteners and the snap fasteners were discontinued, but this kind is even better! It's super easy to take on and off, though the bird has a lot to say about both. It successfully keeps the bird away from the tail area where she concentrates her destructive behavior. I'll be ordering more.
