I'm still getting my Boris used to seeing the collar before I put it on him. He is starting to touch it, so hopefully I'll be able to put it on him.

Our vet initially supplied a clear plastic collar with tape around the neck edges. This was quite inflexible and not very kind to the wearer, our lovely Galah, named Coila (the Gaelic word for Heather). She was not happy wearing it so we researched to find something better and found this one at Birdsupplies. Coila is very happy wearing it, but she has taken to preening the pointy bits on the top layer (as if they are her own feathers:-)! So it's starting to look a little worse for wear. But does...

The foam collars and plastic cone collars just didn't work for us. The fleece design was perfectly soft and I could cut and Modify it. My citron cockatoo adapted to it readily and the shoulder laceration was able to heal without further vet visits. Great product and hopefully I won't have to use one again. Thanks for a wonderful product and great customer service.

Great fit and soft. Our citron took to it immediately. She wasn't able to picket sutchered wing injury and it healed quickly. The collars are soft and can be easily modified. Great product and service!!!

My Moluccan has been plucking/mutilating for 10+ years and I have found little that helps. I had been using a vest from another company but the fit was never quite right and he could get under it. This vest fits much better and he doesn't chew at it nearly as much. Thank you for an excellent product!

I’ve ordered from you before and like two of your products from the Unruffled Rx Alie Soray and anti-itch powder. They both help Mango. She looks as she does because we had a fruit fly outbreak and then a change in seasons.

I inherited a Macaw who was brought to me by vehicle, a drive from about 3,000 miles away. When he arrived, he was molting and obviously a bit stressed out, but he's such a sweet guy in spite of his past and his long, stressful travel to me. I ordered this to help with his molting. He'd never had any fruit's of any kind in his life. His diet mostly consisted of salted peanuts, ugh! After he'd been with me a couple week's, eating fruits plus the best seed I could find, I got this and sprinkled i...

My goffin has been mutilating off an on for about two years going on three. She is a master at getting through velcro and plastic collars. I even have to use pvc pipe insulation (vet recommended this) around her neck then plastic collar above it and she still would get through it after a while, and usually would make her neck raw in the process. This is great because she hasn’t been able to chew through it yet which I’m sure will happen over time so I’ve already ordered more. These are perfect a...

I rescued Guava from the Humane Society. They said he had been plucking and mutilating himself for quite some time. He was also bullied by his previous flock family. I brought him home and he was accepted immediately by my birds. He did not pluck immediately but after 1 month I noticed he started plucking and even mutilating. This helped then I also got the unplucked herbal supplement. So far he’s doing good. And he’s getting his feathers coming back in.

At first the neck was too small I texted them they called me back the same day. She told me I could trim the neck which I did and so far it has worked better than any I ever bought. I do tape over the Velcro part just to make it harder for her to get at. After the first 2 days she hardly even bites at it.

Perfect for its softness and easy of modification for the perfect fit. Softness was a plus with our female U2, HoneyBear. No more stiff protection for her. Will recommend products to vets and our clients.

She's eaten three of these so far - but it totally keeps her busy and she can't reach her body to do more damage. She is snuggly in it like she has on her own fluffy blanket. She doesn't fight me for the on and off - I think because it's comfortable unlike the plastic ones.

I have tried everything to stop Sassafras from self mutilating. She was attacked by a Macaw and that started her on the road to plucking and mutilating under her left wing. It seemed like everything I did, it made it worse. Until this Fringy Collar! This is new and she now cannot get around it to get to her wing. It's been 3 days now so far really works! I went ahead and ordered two more Fringy collars to make sure I have them on hand. She is only 1.5 years old, I'm hoping when everything heals ...

Your collar is the exact item my precious Quaker needed while recovering from a broken leg. This was a welcome improvemet to the plastic collars that she hates and prevent her from eating and drinking independently. We ordered the Small; I could not get her head through the 'turtleneck' myself (she protested!), so I asked the vets to put it on her while she was sedated during an x-ray. Photo shows her with it on maybe 15 min. I have cut the edges shorter, and she has ripped the 'turtleneck' comp...

We bought This for our Black Capped Conure , Lillie , who had a severe feather barbering issue that developed after she lost her family of 20 years. She doesn’t pluck just chews off her tail , wings , and belly feathers. And we’ve tried collars from other websites before but she learned how to take them off so she just never wore them. And she hated them. And after she tore out a blood feather , very scary experience, we made her wear a collar constantly for her safety. And this collar has been...

Years ago, my cockatoo started self-mutilating. Before knowing about BirdSupplies, my bird had to wear hard plastic "cones"...Neither I nor my bird was happy about this! My vet told us about BirdSupplies and suggested trying a soft collar. I tried a couple different types of collars that BirdSupplies offered, before settling on the Fringy Cone Bird Collar that works great! Since my cockatoo tries to bite his feet and his wings, I suggest going with one size larger than the size chart recom...

Perfect! Finally I found the right collar for my Goffin's cockatoo Lily. She is a super plucker and never accepted anything on her body until we found this knit cuff neck poncho. She is able to move normally and use her feet for climbing and perching. Her feathers already grew in and she looks a lot better. The poncho is light and fits perfectly.

Amazing I purchased the feather plucking rescue pack to try one more product. You see my Cockatoo just turned 20 and has been, as I was told been over preening for about 17 years. I’ve tried many products with not really any results. Well let me tell you the SHOCK when these started working after about 8 days!!! I wish I could post pictures of her little feathers on her chest (so cute) she could see the calm powder in her water so had to add it to her food with the feathered up and it is truly ...

So Far So Good! My M2 is a rescue parrot who was a plucker since I got her 13 years ago. It was never an issue til she injured her leg with a toy chain and chewed her leg open. Got that healed and she started an injury to the skin on her shoulder. It's been a tough go because the hard plastic collars with permanent disks were too much weight on her and caused the injured area to swell from her bumping around. If I gave her a break from the vet apparatus she would pick at the scan and open the s...

Saved my baby... thankful ❤ I purchased the fringy collar for severe pluckers- but my Goffin Cockatoo was not plucking, but severely chewed her chest down to the bone. She was not afraid of this collar after just two attempts to wear it. I showed her the collar, let her hear the tear of the Velcro. She just had surgery to heal the chewed chest and is still wearing her collar. It has saved the stitches so far. Rosie, is very precious to me and I am so thankful for your product. Collar for Parrotlet with Broken Leg I volunteer with an NJ based companion bird rescue called For the Love of Birds. We took on an emergency of a parrotlet with a broken leg. She was treated by an avian vet however was extremely uncomfortable in a plastic e-collar. BirdSupplies.com sent out a soft collar for her immediately and she is beyond thrilled with it! The collar is very small but is still highly made. It is making her recovery time a much easier for her now that she's comfortable.

My congo is a very bad picker. My congo is a very bad picker. Ever since his cage mate was killed a dog , he started picking first he hid it from me. Until he flapped his wings and oh my gosh he was shredding his skin so I ordered a fleece slip on collar. The collar helped but the gap between the collar was too tempting. So Congo started to go after his neck and his Brest bone also he figured out how to roll up the fleece to get under his wings . In time he also began to chew a hole through the...

Fringe Bird collar for severe plucking Absolutely love it! Even my Vet loved it so much he wanted his manager to order some for his Bird and Animal Hospital. My bird actually loves it. After surgery he destroyed his e-collar in 2 days. This product is very strong. I give this product 5stars if it had more stars I would give it more. It is that wonderful...

Excelente Stuff I loved the poncho, colores, texture and quality was great! I put it on with no problems and Angelo got a little sad and quite most of the day. One obeservation and objection i have is you cannot remove it as easily:( i wish it came with some kind of velcro for on and off process, in case i want to dust it off or wash. Other than that very nice product! Will attempt to put it on again

What I love about the spray, it's like a mist that comes out so it doesn't scare our bird while we apply it to his wound. It seems to be healing the wound pretty good, and our cockatoo don't really mind it being sprayed on him. Yes, I'll be buying this product again, if need too.

The items are top notch quality- I think the mediums seem a little small for my citron and the large a tad tight for my umbrella cockatoo. I'll try to stretch the openings a little. I think a size up would work better. Both birds have no trouble with flight suits or flight leashes. The tight fit gets t...

Perfect Fit I ordered a large for my citron cockatoo. It fits perfectly. The velcro is very strong, but I secured the bottom with a binder clip to ensure that he wouldn't be able to finagle the velcro closure. He can move around easily but cannot reach his legs, belly and vent. Amazing quality and very fast service! I am extremely happy with my purchase.
