Bought this and the unruffled collar at same time knowing my bird...she's a feisty one! This ruffled style worked better but she gets it off after a few hours. Should've named the bird Houdini!
It could use a larger velcro patch than the tiny square spot provided to close the loop for a more secure fit.

Great idea but didn’t work
It’s a very nice well made product but unfortunately does not work for a large strong bird like a macaw. My macaw was able to take this off within minutes. We tried rewarding her and showing it to her days but she simply refused to have it on.

My Alex will nibble on herself until her skin weeps. She has plucked the left side of her chest and under her wing. The poncho is just long enough to cover a little more than the regular collars but she does spin the poncho so the longer side is in front.

Needs more velcro
The concept is excellent but the velcro is too small. I have a smaller African grey and the velcro almost done not fasten. Please consider putting a much longer piece so that you have the ability to adjust the collar.

Good quality was just too heavy
The quality of the collar was great! I followed the size guide and bought the one that fit my Cockatiel but when I put it on him it was too heavy so he isn't able to use it.

Amazing with room for improvements
This product is amazing. I have an african grey which pluck her breast, legs and wings. Biggest problem was she had a pretty big wound near the vent area which she continued to destroy more and more. I have tried a lot of different homemade solutions and collars from the vet. Nothing helped like this collar 2 month and she almost have full feather and the wound is gone.
The collar is very comfortable for the bird (size M). Only downside is the velcro closure...

I love this collar it works great and is comfortable for my bird. My only complaint is that the stitching and thread could be stronger and more reinforced. It's too easy for her to pull the stitching apart and the Velcro closure off so quickly which is costly for me since I have to buy another more often. I realise that it will happen eventually but If it took her longer to do it it would be the perfect collar. Other then that I love it

Well made cone… however the small size is still too big for my cockatiel… he couldn’t even walk with it on… so I guess I’ll have to find something else to help his plucking. It would be helpful if you put examples of which birds fit which cones in the descriptions… if those descriptions exist, I was not able to locate them.
