The spray is working very well. She is no longer plucking herself and feathers are coming in. I also purchased feather up and parrot calming along with parrot red and they are all exceptional products. My umbrella cockatoo is on her way to looking beautiful again

Compared to the other collars I was using, this collar provides more comfort and ease of moving for my green cheek Conure. She still doesn’t like it, and has chewed it up quite a bit but it is definitely a collar I will purchase again.

My feathered friend wasn’t plucking but he was picking at his feet and turned them into a mess. He received the cone of shame at the emergency room. After that I began looking for better alternatives. Boy am I glad and so is he, that we found you. His whole demeanor changed the moment we put it on. When we brought him into the vet for his follow up visit, the vet was impressed with the collar. I passed along your website to him. Dino and I thank you for this product that gives his feet a chanc...

My M2 has destroyed so many feather protectors. I've spent so much money. This is the first time in 4 years he has all his feathers back. It's so good to see him looking great!

Those collars work very good and I have a plastic one under that one. He really started to pluck when Covid came because I was nervous and T.C. Picked up on that so then it became a habit. He’s really looking good, but I ‘m afraid to take it off because I’m afraid he will start plucking again. Thank you for those collars! Joanne

Timmy had an injury that required stitches across his tail underside (4.5 to 5 years ago). The stitches caused problems with the quill routes, per vet. Since then he has had a lot of pain with tail feathers coming in too many at once. He bites his tail feathers; if it's a blood feather I have to pull it. I've contacted many places for help. One in Oakley, CA who is very, very busy. I've used cbd cream for the pain - against my vets advice. Timmy gets infrared every day to the underside of...

My parrot is a habitual plucker who has mutilated very badly in the past. This collar was prescribed for her by an avian vet and she wears a second collar (made of pipe insulation) underneath the e-collar. This combination works well for her. These collars can be difficult to find and you need to have the correct size for your bird. This collar was literally a life saver! I remove the collars for bathing and preening. Once a parrot is a habitual plucker, the habbit usually never changes and you...

My Patagonian conure Herbie started plucking his belly several months ago and we have been unable to break him of it. We bought this kevlar vest for him and it works perfectly. He doesn’t like it, but we do! His beautiful plumage is starting to grow back.

My 19 year old Noble Macaw has been plucking since an Impacted Egg episode 10 years ago. Off and on she had to wear a plastic collar - my stress load affects her. The Fleece Collar is a nice change that she is getting used to. I put it on her Pet Stuffed Puppy for three days and let her search for normal treats by then under the collar flaps in a small recovery cage (after a bloody plucking episode). Now two days with collar in small cage, now back to her normal cage (with a half height adjustme...

I had an acrylic cone but it was alot of work to get on and off. Then I started making my own out of cardboard so he had something else to chew. He only plucks around breeding season. This is so easy to put on and off. He adapted very well since it was not foreign to him.

After conditioning my Congo African Grey to wear the collar, this took a week, she wore it for 8 days and then she stopped picking once the collar was removed. I used the collar for chest and body plucking. I have also increased our training time and put her to bed earlier. My veterinarian recommended drugs to stop this destructive behavior but I felt that I needed to address it in a more organic way and I’m thrilled that I did. I’m so happy to see my birds feathers coming back in! Thank you!

Lola, my bird, had started plucking over a year ago. I tried everything from changing her cage environment all the way up to expensive vet bills. In my research, I came across your collar and ordered it. I acquainted Lola with the collar by first brushing her head with it for several weeks before finally having the courage to put it on her. She wasn’t too frightened of it and while she has been chewing on it a bit, the very first time I tried to put it on, she didn’t freak out and seemed rather ...

Thank goodness I bought 2 Aloe Vera mist. I already went thru one. My parrots got scared when I used the mist because of the container so transferred to another and now they think is water. They are to smart. What I noticed the most is that after a few days they stopped scratching. They used to almost jump to scratch and pluck, which is such a relief. Kasey, my african gray is growing a tail feather 😃 the scarlet macaw is trying to leave her feather alone. You know, its a start. Both have been ...

These collars are great for feather plucking and mutilation. They are lightweight and easily tolerated by the bird. My parrot can do everything that she normally would do with this collar on. This collar was recommended by my avian vet and it weighs less than half of what the fabric type collars weigh! It seems to me that the heavy weight of a fabric collar could cause strain on the bird's neck and put extra pressure on the bird's feet. My parrot wears a second collar made out of pipe insulation...

I previously got Red Palm oil from our avian vet but supply issues. I tried the Unruffled Rx and so happy that Buddy likes it. His appetite has improved, less itching (was constant) and a bit less dander. He's still plucking a bit but it's only been 2 weeks. Fingers crossed.~

She has to be tricked into taking Feather up in her banana or food, but the collar is working well. We have lap time every night and I left her preen without the collar every other day. She does chew the felt around the velcro in the neck and "Duck Tape" works well to balance the collar from the weight of the velcro and to protect her from getting into chewing the velcro. SHE LOOKS GORGEOUS WITH ALL.OF HER FEATHERS!!! 😎

My bird was not nor has he ever plucked his feathers. I had to fill an answer in. I had a dangerous parrot. I’ve been injured quite badly in the past. Long story short, via Clicker Training I am able for the first time in many years able to reward his behavior with an almond from my hand without injury. It’s the first time out of his cage in years. He stopped attacking and lunging. Now, I can get some more serious training done. I read the book in one evening. Twice. I learned what to do and how...

While she didn't pluck she was molting and rough on her feathers, he adoptive brother peaches, was a rescue plucker. I was worried, but mixing this with her warm gentle mists really helped sooth her irritated skin, and for peaches it has been a godsend. She now has soft glowing feathers and peaches is slowly getting better with his own feathers.

My birds don't actually pluck, but my young male cockatiel is about to go through his first adult molt. He was also scratching a lot. So I've added the red palm oil to his diet. I usually add a few drops to his mashed sweet potato or other soft food I am feeding. He seems less itchy and I think he feels more comfortable now. Highly recommend even for birds who do not pluck but are about to go through a molt.

Sarah only had the fringe collar on for a few days, so far so good. He is unable to reach the sore he created on his wing. I originally ordered the LG & he was able to reach his wing. Ordered the XL & it was much better. He’s adjusted pretty quick . Tried many collars but I think this one will do the trick .

We adopted a 23 year old male Greenwing Macaw who spent those years in Florida. It’s MUCH more humid there than here in Virginia. He had a history of some plucking but it wasn’t bad. Since being in Virginia he seems to be itching all the time and has dandruff even though he gets full soaking showers every week. The plucking is quite a bit worse and we’re hoping that red palm oil will at the very least stop the itching and dandruff.

My girl had gotten a skin infection and the vet wasn’t sure why, but she was picking to the point of bleeding and had a bald spot on her back. Even after getting it treated she didn’t stop, so I got the collar. I like how easy it is to take off and put back on. She can still move in it and fly, which is what makes it better than other cones I tried.

I had my consult with Diane Burroughs yesterday. She is a great lady!!! I was a little worried that since she’s been doing this for over 30 years, she would just have a cookie cutter spiel but we had a really good conversation and she really listened to me!! Diane gave me a couple of things to work on and and some different things to try. Great information and I feel like money very well spent! Will more than likely schedule another consult down the road.

I have raised my girl Pepe since she was 6 months. She is now 21. She has picked pin feathers off and on for years but nothing like this year. I purchased the calming powder and I do think it helped. For one, when she stopped picking, I quit giving it to her. She started back picking a little and so I started back putting this in her water. She has been stopped for a while now and as you can see in the photo, her feathers are starting to grow back on her chest. I also started putting about 1/2 t...

This is a great fix for my Trooper! He had a neurological event at 6 months and lost the use of the right side of his body. He climbs around but hasn’t gotten use of his right wing back. I have tried nerve pain killers, antipsychotics, food additives, anti-inflammatories and all kinds of collar designs. He chews threw this one pretty quick and he’s not a huge fan but it does the job and he can eat, drink and climb around with it!

This bird collar has SAVED my bird, Mango, from his terrible picking habits. He picks so much that he has begun to cut himself. This collar helps his cuts to heal and keeps my bird safe!! It is SO soft and SO much better than a hard collar that the vet tries to put on him. I trimmed it a bit around the circumference to make it smaller for my tiny lovebird and it fits very nicely.
