The C-A-T Tourniquet is what I carried in the military and am most familiar with, but the C-A-T, SOFT-T, and the newer ratcheting or tactical tourniquets are must-haves in any IFAK. I keep one in my home, car, and double-up on them (any style) in my range bag. Great quality and no shipping issues.

I purchased the Overlander First Aid Kit. I then purchased three C-A-T Tourniquets and three 4/5" NAR Compressed Gauze. The kit with these items will allow me to handle more patience with extremity bleeding. I removed the splint to allow for the added items. The bag is an efficient design holding everything in place until you need. I did have a zipper lanyard pull out of the plastic clip but was able to make a quick repair by reassembling it.

This tape is good quality, thick, tough, and very sticky. It does not automatically come off by itself, but stays stuck to whet you need it to. The flat fold is useful for med kits or any where space is restricted. It is also easier to get off than peeling off a roll, if you have limited strength. Scissors are needed to cut it, at least for me.

Bag, only – meant to be a kit with spare replacement essentials. Will mainly use the internal space for additional Celox Rapid Gauze, one Israeli Bandage, gloves, Gecko flat tape, and some iodine wipes. Added the orange CAT tourniquet to one of the side wings, shears in the other side wing, and plan on attaching a X8T TQ to the outside front panel (it does work). Just like the kitted 5x8 Vanquest Trauma Kit, this smaller 4x6 bag-only is of good quality.

So cool!!!!very great quality with room to upscale. I purchased one and an empty one with a cat and another tq./ quick clot gauze, boo boo kit etc. I strapped both of them In my jeep. The rip open is very easy even if you pack it up tight. I’m so comforted knowing I have these now. I can’t believe I went on so long without. I will be purchasing more for my house and loadouts.

Hopefully I never have to use this, but the quality appears to be excellent. The majority of the parts are metal. I do wish the c-clip was metal as well however. I chose the SOF-T because it can used when you can’t slip the tourniquet over a limb. This is my first tourniquet and hope to never have to use it in a real life situation. I’d rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Excellent service from the SkinnyMedic team!

This is my first trauma kit and luckily haven’t had to use it. Really like the quality of the Vanquest bag and it will fit more than you’d expect. Very well built. The supplied components seem to be of good quality. The scissors are much better than your average variety. I’ve added some basic boo-boo items, KT tape, a few more 4” gauze, SWAT-T tourniquet, etc. and they all fit no problem. Will definitely be ordering from MGO in the future.

I have both the ETQ gen1 and gen2. I really like the 2nd gen and I think it's built much better, however, the gen1 folds down quite a bit smaller. Supplies barely fit, but it works if you pack it right. Rides well in small of back. A itttle bit thick, but it has to be to fit the supplies. Pouch is good and rugged, and the velcro is strong.
