My teen has eczema and also would take a 35 min shower if allowed. This is an excellent product. The manual could be more user friendly- maybe a long video to show to operate different settings. In absence of video, the customer service over the phone was beyond exceptional! The man took time to explain and help understand different settings. No fuss customer service.

We ordered this to stop one of our kids from taking 45 minute showers. We tried using a kitchen timer and when the timer goes off, it meant time to turn the water off but she would just turn the timer off and keep going. This kicked her habit real quick! My 13 year old son was taking 70 minute showers, sometimes LONGER (we have an infinity water heater)! I think my son actually benefits from having the structure and rigidity of knowing that 10 minutes means exactly that...10 minutes. He's been fairly upbeat and positive about using this device. I am therefore, chalking it up as a win/win for us. Maintaining a charge capability is a bit cumbersome, but it's worth it. Perhaps a version with swappable rechargable batteries could come along in a future version. Either way, thank you for developing this device.

The shower wizard has given me the power over the shower back. No more excessively long showers which means a lot less hot water needs to be heated. The unit is small, non intrusive and easy to install. Its almost hard to believe there are households out there not using this. It pays for its self pretty quickly when you can almost half the average shower time in the household.

Works great!! Kid no longer sits in the shower for an hour xD One thing I wish tho, I had to use the shower before the lockout window was up. And in the documentation, it doesn't indicate how to override the lockout. But I figured out that I can just press the cancel button on the remote to override. And programming is a bit confusing at first. All in all tho, it's a great product! Highly recommend. Even for me, helps me be more efficient with water useage.

What with the waste of precious water and deeping climate crisis, these things should be mandatory. Also, if you have teenagers in your house, this thing is a must. The new version is a big improvement on the last version (we had two of those). It is much easier to program, better design and ditching the wire connection is a great improvement. Works like a charm. Suddenly the kids have gone from 45+ min showers to 10 min ones. "We can't wash in 10 min..." turns out they can, they just chose not to. Of course there was a learning curve for some...but no more complaining on my part. Set it up for 10min shower with a 10 min lockout to prevent em waiting out the clock and having another shower.

Yes, this product the shower wizard works great, going to save me a lot of money so far it saved me about $100 a month just in water, and overuse on septic system. It keeps everyone in line so no more 45 minute showers great product. Also, it lasts for about two months or more on a charge with four showers a day.

With two teenaged boys routinely taking 20 min (plus) showers, it was time to take drastic measures! Purchased and installed and I couldn't believe the results. Instead of using up the allotted time limit, I've found in our instance that they both will take a necessary shower and turn it off EARLY (before the timer expires) because they know mentally that the timer is on a hard stop. So now instead of 20 min showers, we're down to 5 min or less! Thank you Shower Wizard!

A month after purchase, and several weeks after initial review, this is even a bigger hit in the house. For me, I try to keep my "shower-on" time to less than 60 seconds total. The boys (elementary school) take it as a challenge to see if they can take separate showers all within the 8 minute time (easy for them). The youngest girl loves it, the older girls despise it (which means, its effective!). Need a disable code to keep momma happy though...

Firstly, we have our water hauled in. And at one point during the holidays we had 6 people in the house. We ran out of water. We have a 2 week schedule with the haulers. With the shower timer set at 8 minutes and 10 minute rest time, I can rest easy. The dishwasher, and clothes washer have set amounts of water used. Now so does the shower. Works great! 3 teenagers that refuse to take normal length showers. Constant fighting and no one being able to get into the bathroom. Not to mention the insane amount of humidity trapped in the bathroom. This has definitely helped solve that or at least diminish the multiple issues. Just somehow need them to stop sitting on the actual toliet for 40 minutes starting at their phones.

ShowerWizard was shipped promptly and arrived in good condition. Easy to install, and setup. I did not change the default values of 8 min showers, but that has cut down on my two teens taking 20-30 minute showers. Thank you ShowerWizard. The only "wish" would be if this were WIFE or Bluetooth enabled to set up the timer myself with an app, other than that this is a great alternative.
