This rod really works well compared to others I have had. Many sparks and lights kindle quickly as long as it is dry. If not dry then mix some dry paper with it and it lights quickly. Easy to store in case along with lighter and fire sticks. Definitely recommend this product.

Looks effective. Haven't used the actual firestarters yet. Saving Them for my survival kit if the product is anything like the videos, im excited to try it out. The ferro rod is large and made well. Lotsa spark. The waterproof lighter is awesome.. so far I'm very happy with my purchase.

The Blackbeard fire starters are really good. We use them for fire pits and camping several times a year. I currently have them put away, as I live in Los Angeles, and touting how amazing the fire starters are publicly at this time seems a bit insensitive. Soon though, once things go back to normal, I will be happy to speak up for your fine product. I really do want to stock up some more as well. Thank you!

So I primarily bought the black beard products for myself as a gift and for the just in case. I ended up using some of it for starting a fire to get the hard wood coals ready for grilling. I used these when I was in the military on dismounted missions in Afghanistan. I can honestly say these work better than the military ones I used back then. The case has a strike strip for easy ignition, they are water and windproof. Great asset to any camping/bug-out bag.

They work amazing! I poured water on a small pile of the fluffed up rope material and with one strike with of my ferro rod, they lit and burned a large flame for 2 plus minutes. Quite impressive! I have carried a small piece of pine fatwood for years to make shavings and light them when camping, but now I will definitely switch to a piece of these ropes they are Far better!

They worked incredibly well in good/foul weather conditions. The rain/had little effect. Sorry no video. Was more concerned with your product. Now they are in my bug-out bags in both of my vehicles and my RV. Combine with some magnesium scraps and no worries at all. Work fine on their own, but add that and rest assured fire will occur. Great product. Edward Teach would be proud.

Finally got around to using these to start a fire in my offset smoker as I don't like using lighter fluid and being that these are non-toxic and burn away clean, I figured they would fit the bill for an honest review. I did not submerge them or get them wet in any way but they did work as advertised. Once I got the striking of the ferro rod down, it lit right up. Awesome little kit not using it for day to day not that it wouldn't work for day to day but it fits in perfectly with my Henery AR7 survival rifle so it stays with that locked up in my truck and it gives me a good feeling knowing i have that whole survival kit incase i become stranded or broke down in the backwoods.

Works great. Bit more effort fluffing for a ferro rod. Found twisting the plug and fluffing the center has one strike fires. Fluff don’t break in half.

Like most everyone I was skeptical on how the product worked. I took a leap of faith and ordered 5 one for each family member. When ours arrived I put it through its paces and used as they showed on the videos. I even showed my work staff a demonstration of how it works. One had a question about if you could relight the fibers after you blew them out and as advertised they relit.

Great quality kit. Good service For me I would like the zippered case to be just a bit larger. It would allow for a few redundant items to be stored to where this would be the only fire starting kit you would need in your backpack. Like it is, when I added say a bic lighter or secondary fire starter tender, it was a little too snug. Still. Great product from a good company.

I really like the Black Beard tinder rope, water-proof and flammability are awesome, and the ferro rod is one of the largest,for striking area, on the market. The pouch and patch are just gravy on the taters. 10/10

The fire plugs are a great fire starting tool. I brought some on vacation and when we started fires in the fireplace everyone was super impressed. Teaming them up with some fat sticks makes fire starting a breeze. I used up my store this year and will be buying more in the future. They are awesome!
