The rear handle has broken off 3 times in 2 years while taking the scooter on airplanes , buses, and trains. This is the 3rd replacement (4th handle) and it's a pain to replace, especially when I'm in a foreign country and don't have accesw to a replacement part. The replacement cost also adds up.
I'm certain this has happened to other people who have the scooter moved/transported by people who aren't familiar with handling the scooter.

The versatility makes it perfect for airline and auto travel. Nothing else matches it.
However, the acceleration is a bit jerky and the noise level is too high. I have a 4-wheel scooter of another brand to compare it to.
It also feels just a bit less safe than a 4-wheel scooter. I guess that's to be expected.
All-in-all, if you want to take a scooter with you on an airplane, nothing else comes close.

It is impossible to rate my 'replacement' battery since it has not been given the test of time. This 'replacement battery' replaced the battery purchased with my scooter Feb 13, 2025. The original battery lasted roughly 4 months. When I got to the airport, the battery was dead, even though it had been charged the previous morning. Tech support told me that that series of batteries were defective.
Unfortunately, I had to rent a cart from a 3rd party.

The book on instructions that came with the Autto were excelently done. They were clear. Note that the pulling oujr the pins on the seat to reattach the tiller were not in the instructions annywhere. Also the caveat to not use any service except an authorized dealer is a no go as no dealer close to where I live.

You definitely need the cushion as the bare seat is too hard to sit in every day. The cushion is easy to put on and off when folding up the chair. My one recommendation is that the cushion itself should be thicker - maybe a gel or air-filled option. I am trying to figure out how to attach a high quality wheelchair type cushion in order to avoid pressure sores.

The scooter is wonderful when set up and ready for use. However, your ads and YouTube videos show younger and more fit people demonstrating the opening and closing. For older and mobility challenged people like myself it is not so easy as it requires the ability to stand up and use considerable strength to pull it up into the closed position. I have actually fallen trying to do this quickly to gate check it on an airplane.

Sonny loves the scooter and we’re glad we have it. The cane holder is fine but really not necessary for him. He has enjoyed the scooter very much. Unfortunately videos show an older man closing and opening the scooter, yet it is much harder than it looks. It is hard for me at 76 and I’m not weak! It’s great when it’s on the move! Takes ALOT of practice to asssmble and disassemble……. You must do it a lot to get the hang of it without watching the videos.
It’s also heavier than we planned for. My wife can’t lift it at 62 lbs into the car by herself so sometimes inconvenient to wait for help….. but overall it’s been great!

Bought primarily for trip to Chicago. United Airlines would not allow. I was upset because I was told by salespeople that Atto was flight approved, plus I could not find any such prohibition prominently displayed on the UA website. As far as the unit itself, it’s clever and does what it claims to do. Folding and unfolding gets easier the more you do it. I like it … just wish it really was acceptable to ALL airlines.
