Small (24”) Reversible Rollout Nest Box (Up to 20 Hens) This nesting box has been a game changer. All 10 of our chickens started using it the same day we installed it. Clean eggs are a huge plus, and collecting them has never been easier. It’s also worth mentioning that our Ameraucana snapped out of her broody phase after we installed this. She finally started laying again after 4 to 5 months. I highly recommend.

We absolutely love this! Got this to help our kiddos help out with the chickens more. So far its working great, eggs are clean, roll out works great even though I'm pretty sure its not even remotely close to being level, seeing as how I just eye-balled it and screwed it in. Still works great!

My husband and I put it together. The chicken like it. I think it took them two or three days to figure it out. The older hens used it right away and the younger ones learned from them. We are very happy with the nesting box.

I purchased this and placed it in the coop before my hens were actually old enough to start laying. I have had 4 of the 50 hens I have just started laying in it the other day. Boy it is sure going to be nice collecting clean eggs. Thanks for the advice on the community box. It totally makes sense. With chickens I have had before I was always get a bunch of eggs out of two or three boxes.

Definitely worth every penny!! I have had it a couple weeks and have not had a cracked egg or dirty egg! Took chickens a day to figure it out and adjust but they caught on quick! If I get more chickens or another coop I’ll be buying another one. I was worried it wouldn’t fit in my tractor supply coop but after seeing other reviews with pictures I knew it would work. I have 17 laying hens and I would say probably only about 4 to 5 fit in at one time depending on how they position themselves.

The nest boxes was really easy to assemble and is very easy to clean. My hens are taking to it slowly, but seem to enjoy roosting on the roost bar. I don't seem to catch them in the box but we keep our coop pretty quiet, so it's hard to sneak up on them! This box is much nicer than their previous box and well worth the money!

This was my 4th Hen Gear nest box. I absolutely love them. Still have 4 more to purchase. I keep saving up, then buy the next one. It is a game changer. Very, very few eggs need cleaning. As for incubating eggs, it significantly improves hatchable eggs.

I mounted it in the door. The younger pullet hen caught on right away. The older 4 hens haven't yet. I think they are lacking light as 7 hens have only produced one egg in the last 2 days. I look forward to the day they all catch on.

Please pay attention to the instructions as they are labeled depending on how you want to install the hen box with front access or access to the eggs from the rear! This a two person job and some of the screws are difficult to install do to the area of placement. However, my girls used the hen box the first day. Easy to assemble, did require some bending which instructions mention. Easy to install. Rolls out and no poopie eggs and no pecking broodie hen. Lol Life is easier. Especially for the kiddos.

I love the nest box all the chicken are using it except for one. But the directions are a little hard to understand and the two outside bolts on top cover are very difficult to put in I had to turn one bolt around backwards to get it in but that's okay.

We got these boxes and they worked wonderful for most of our flock. There were a couple that did not like the box. They would lay their eggs in the bedding and if others saw an egg they would lay there as well. I decided to order the fake eggs and I also added some straw at the beginning. They all lay in the boxes now! Very thankful for these clip in eggs!

The nest box pad was easy to replace the old one. I ordered a larger one and used the cut pieces to pad a spot one chicken uses. It was easy to cut with a knife. I also like how easy they are to clean.

We found some of the placements of bolts awkward to attach in putting the egg box together. It was well worth the effort when the hens immediately took to using the egg box and now we enjoy clean eggs. I will definitely order another one!

These are a great addition to a nesting box order. We run our layers in pasture in the spring, summer and fall, but have them in a free-range barn for the winter. We’re in Canada, so year-round pasture raising isn’t a good option. We can leave a set of these in our chicken tractor and a set in our barn, and it makes the spring/fall swap much easier. This is our second bunch of Hen Gear nest boxes that we’ve purchased. We really like the ability to change between front and rear collection. In the winter barn, we need front collection, but on pasture, our chicken tractors are better suited for rear collection. Easy to install and remove. This is the first egg in the new box. In my previous home made roll out box this hens egg would always have a small crack. This pad works perfectly and her egg was safely rolled out of reach as well as being completely undamaged.

We we're losing 2-3 eggs a day from the chickens breaking them, that's 60 dozen a year. Since we've installed the new nest box, we have not had any broken eggs. I love the AutoRoost 20 also. We set the timer for 4 am for it to release the roost and it works great!
