Overall very easy to assemble - thanks for the great instructions. Two things I had to tweak: The clips you have to hold the back panel and the cover for the egg storage area closed were very short in length so I had to bend them down a bit to ensure they do not pop open; also the artificial mat bristles are a bit too rough for my chickens as all they wanted to do was scratch at it so I simply put in a softer piece of astroturf that was the same size and it works very well. Pros: I have tried many different nesting boxes. Even spent over $400 on a similar competitor recently. By far this is the best one I've had when it comes to keeping your eggs clean. I also have one chicken that loves to eat eggs. The other nesting boxes I've had, the eggs would sometimes get stuck/not roll and she would eat them right away. I bought one last year but ya know, chicken math. Bought a second one and this one only took one salad out beverage to assemble and a minimum of swearing. That said my husband owns at least two of every tool which made things go smoothly. The first assembly was made more complicated by “help” from my MIL which may be why it required more than one beverage. The chickens took some encouraging. We have been having issues with the chickens eating our eggs and also laying them in high traffic areas where the other chickens or goats will step on them. The eggs have been extremely dirty lately because they were laying them in the dirt or mud. Since we got this hengear nesting box, our eggs have been so clean.
