I am not good at starting a fire with a ferro rod and steel - just not something I have practiced. These fire plugs make it easy for a beginner like me!! The plugs burn plenty long to get a fire started. Great product!

I went camping last weekend. Unfortunatley the wood was a little wet due to the weather. Although the wood was a little wet I was able to find some smaller things to helps get the fire started with the HUGE help of your firestarters. Was able to enjoy the fire and keep warm most of the night!

I used my Bigfoot Bush Craft fire starter for the first time last wkend camping on a big river island on a father/son camping trip. After clearing an area with machetes we set up camp & brought out the new fire starting kit,we had a flame with 2 strikes of the flint! Super impressed!! i have a wolf & grizzly setup, it is pretty nice, i have only used my new solo once for a initial burn, it is very sweet, the bottom plate to protect below fire is a definate advantage over the others, adjustable solid surface grill is gonna be nice for cooking. defiantly worth the $. great product guys!, think of more stuff too make, ill buy it

I just got back from a week long camping trip in the Colorado backcountry. I used the fire starters for every campfire and they worked great. At one point I could not find any dry wood as there had been rain most of the week. I had to use 3 fire starters but eventually I got some kindling to light and had a great campfire in no time.. The wood around us was very soaked from rain the night before and this little thing burned long enough to finally get a start to something. Had to blow to keep it going but it worked well. No re-lighting necessary.

I was shocked! I was told what to expect by videos and reviews and sometimes they are skewed in favor of a product. I followed the instructions for preparing the fire starter. I scraped the ferro rod and nothing but paint. I scraped once more and the faintest of sparks and paint hit the starter and it lit! Unbelievable!!!! It’s much bigger and much heavier than the 1-2 person. Not portable for a hike, kyack trip etc. Great for the vehicle or beach camping, maybe even tail gating. Heavier than expected. But not cheap. Heavy duty. Should last a lifetime.

After looking at the video of the guy demonstrating on how easy it was at first I was nah. After I purchased then I decided to put it to a test and I kept one submerged in water for over 24hrs. The next day I took it out and noticed the outside was fluffy I still twisted it and sparked it up and it still lit. These little things are amazing for fire starter. The wife and I were at the coast and thought a fire would be nice. Collecting only drift wood from the beach in the pacific northwest and these Bigfoot bushcraft fire starters had a roaring fire in no time. I used 2 of them and the flint stick and that was it.

This stuff is great. We use a burning pit a lot in the winter. I fill it with wood, toss in a couple of your fire starters and within 10 minutes we have a roaring fire. I even left a couple in my jacket for a couple of months. They acted as if they were brand new. Started right up. Great stuff, that’s why i placed a second order just to make sure i will have some if i need them.
