Bought it just out of curiosity.again out of curiosity I took 1 to see how it would lite,also to see how long it would burn.not gonna lie.thoroughly impressed how fast it lighted with just one strike from the striker rod.definitely has a permanent spot in my emergency and camping kit.didnt get to see how long it burns on its own due to it igniting my tender faster than i expected.recommend getting the tin.its small compact and if you stack them right you can get more then enough in it.

Had to try out the fire starter as soon as it arrived. the fire starter worked better than expected. Once I bent it in two and fluffed it up it ignited with one single spark from a ferro rod. I have never been able to start a fire so quickly. The fire starters are a must for anyone who gets out in the bush. A necessity for any emergency kit. Performs accurately to its description. Actually had my plug submerged in a cup of water, holding it under for 5 minutes (simulating falling into a frozen lake and taking some time to get out). Instead of breaking it apart, I wanted to see how it did as a whole plug after being submerged, and it still lit, albeit I used a lighter and not a ferro rod. Tested another non submerged plug with a ferro rod and a good spark also lit it. As for burn time, definitely will burn long and hot enough to give...

I grabbed the 80 pack to share with the family and friends, and they are great. They’re easy to spread apart, and they catch fire with minimal flame. I got the little tin with mine, but they’re waterproof, so any kind of container or bag will work fine. I would definitely buy them again, and have some friends who will be soon.

Little skeptical at first, but got them and it was snowing and windy out, put one down to see how long it would burn and how well… actually burned hot and bright and the wind and moisture weren’t doing anything to it! Also burned for roughly 5 on its own. Good product, I’d buy again.

The fire pugs are a great addition to your bug out bag. They are easy to light either with a ighter of a ferro rod. 1 spark and it was lit. Burns for 5 minutes to dry out damp wood. So it is a great investment t any prepper or just to have around when camping.

A friend had ordered the fire starters to share with us. I ordered a pack for my husband's wood stove in his garage. He LOVES them. He was using a lot of newspaper to get it started. Now he uses one fire starter and very little newspaper, which cuts down on the amount of times he has to clean out the ash. We also have a Big Green Egg , so these will be great to start the natural wood briquets with. We will be ordering again.

They work perfect they last for a ridiculous amount of time. If lit and you drop something on it or drop a big piece of wood on it and it goes out you can literally re light them. They light so easily every part of this kit is quality and well worth the money. Yes this review is real and not put up by them, I genuinely think their product is great.

My son recently went camping in celebration of his birthday. Wanting to do something on his own. Unfortunately he had several issues. He tried to start a fire for 2 1/2 hours but was unsuccessful. Since it was in the low 20’s and possibly in the teens, it made for a lousy trip. I purchased the fire starters in an attempt to keep this from happening again.
