This product works just like you said! We love all the stuff that we've bought from y'all. I bought these last ones, knife and plugs, as a gift for a friend that runs a fishing guide service on a small trout stream. He used them to start the fire that he cooked brats over on the last trip I took with him. It only took one strike to get his fire started. I think he's hooked. Yes, pun intended! So, I’m not gonna lie…I bought these when I was on Ambien. I have never started a single fire in my life! BUT, it was hilarious that I bought them (not to mention the biggest pack they have) so we deciding to go on my first ever camping trip. Guess who gets to start the fires?! I give them 5 stars. I absolutely love this! My husband was very pleased with it. He said it was very simple to put together and was very well made! We can using it on camping trips without having to load up a heavy barbecue pit which takes up a lot of room. This little jewel doesn’t! I let one plug up with a lighter. Have not tried the rod yet, I will be that soon and get back to y'all. The only thing that I would say now is that it did take a long time to get this product. But I also know that moving things around the United States is hard these days. So all is good, will send you a video when I use the striker kit

I would be happy to pay a bit more and get a more sturdy product. I think the blade and handle can both be heavier and more robust. I would also consider a few more functions to the knife.

Just bought a large bag of starters and the Ferro rod the Ferro rod makes a mean spark and the fire starters worked exactly like they're supposed to I let one in a bowl both halves burn for almost 8 minutes totally pleased

Great product! Took the fire starters camping this last weekend, one strike with the ferro rod and it was lit! Tried them wet and they worked just like the advertisement shoes! I used them in my twig stove and the burn time is great, I can light the fire starter on some wood shavings then start feeding in twigs, there's no rush to keep my spark going. Highly recommend these fire starters they are the best I have used!
