I bought the flat pack XL for camping for me it's the right size. Very easy to set up and tear down fits in the supplied bag nice. If you're camping off grid I think this is a must. If you are tent or vehicle camping you put this wherever you set up That's a big convenience. It has a good size flat catch pan the feet sit on for stability and to catch any hot coals. Would have liked 2 more latches on the pan for foot holder's but otherwise works great I would recommend this. Note.. The XL is not...

Love these things. The rod sparks like no others I’ve seen and the starters lights easily and burn for several minutes. I put one in a can I rinsed out and it still caught fire even damp. Highly recommend

The fire plugs are always quick to ignite. I have had them light with just one strike from a ferro rod. They don't have a grease feel or petroleum smell. I bought a different brand of fire plugs about a month ago to see how they compared. The performance of the other fire plugs did not come close to that of the Bigfoot Bushcraft brand.
