Wow! I used this product to coat some wooden products that I make and it was perfect for the job. I did a video if you would like to see it! I really love the marker, I still have some technique to learn but this is a game changer. Since the stencils act like a sticker, it’s super easy to stick them down and not have to worry about them moving. The markers provide a solid and consistent coloring when you activate them with the heat gun. Not sure how I feel about this project/product. When the heat gun is hot enough to activate the chemical to burn a pattern it's so hot it burns the area around it and makes the wood look dirty. I did some clean up with sandpaper and I'm still not thrilled. It's my first time using it, so I don't even know how to do it next time so that doesn't happen. My aunt passed away a few weeks ago, and a group of her friends made spruce tops in her memory. I took the letter K from her signature & made a stencil & then put them on wooden ornaments with thw scortch marker. Worked pretty slick. Now I want to use it everywhere. I love the ease with using the pen! Once I was finished with the heat gun I went over it with an ultra fine black paint pen to highlight some areas. I didn’t need to but I wanted a little darker line.

This is one of many I have done using the Scorch marker. I have tried a couple of different brands that I seen on Amazon and ordered one of each only to being disappointed by a couple of them, but as soon as I started using the Scorch marker, I will say there is nothing out there that compares to this. I'm thinking there is a difference in the temp for burning between the new fine tip and the regular markers. I also had to go over the painted on areas (using the attached brush) and yes shook it for awhile. I've had the regular markers for about 6 mos. Does the burning solution weaken or go bad? thanks Deb Ball

Works well,, has some issues with bleed on porus wood. Depending on the material you will get discoloration of the wood around the "burn". Its nothing some sanding and stain doesn't fix.

It comes out a little blotchy sometimes. I thing it would be cool if it can with more types of tips like a fine tip for lines and the one you currently have out for filling in big areas. Or if you sold little bottle of the liquid andit could be used like paint with a paint brush. But it's super cool and I use it with stencils.

Worked just as described. Amazing and easy. I printed a design, cut it out, and traced it with the marker onto my project. Let dry a little then used heat gun to get desired results. Awesome.

I think I have two issues. The wood was about 2 years drug but I sanded it a bit beforehand and it became sappy. Secondly, I think my heat gun is not hot enough. This was just a test piece but it took a lot longer to burn than I expected. Not giving up!

I sanded some wood and made a plaque for my friends who just wed. The lines aren't the greatest but for first time use it did good. I'm sure using a stencil next time would help with cleaner lines.

Wow. These are really nice. Wasn’t exactly sure on the size but they are great for lots of projects. And so many different designs. I’m really liking these. Oh, and their adhesive also which makes it even better

My ten year old granddaughter and I used this. She was very skeptical but after using it she was very happy. She took our projects home with her so I cannot take a picture. The only issue I had was when I took off the brush end some of the liquid spilled on my project. I should have read, I thought it was a wider tipped marker for large areas.

It works, but definitely not as easy as they make it look. There’s a learning curve. You must especially be careful not to burn your wood while heating and you must sand sand a lot so there’s no image bleed from under the template.

I got my Scortch Marker and made myself a Christmas ornament! I'm going to put a hole I it and a nice shiny coat and hang it on the tree! Using the Scortch Marker was very easy and it took me only 20 minutes to make this right after I opened the package. I will definitely buy more products.

I was hoping for more of a burned texture on the wood. It did great and I love the smell of the toasty wood but it does kinda look just like black paint if you’re not paying attention.
