I absolutely love the original painting by Gustav Klimt. I found the template lacking. The heads of two birds were cut off and the lines were not creating the look of the original. I ended up painting many parts completely by working off the original portrait by Klimt. I created heads for the decapitated birds. I’m very happy having done the piece and having bought it and testing my skills to improve upon the template. Nevertheless I would like to see a much better template. The paints were good...

Monet's detailed art is bautiful and CBN did a great job attempting to replicate. The photo I took does not catch the dreaminess of the the strokes, but in person it is there, which I am amazed to see. I did the Premier 48 colors for additional detail. I am contemplating adding some light blue strokes in some of the gray water as in Monet's actual art that CBN did not choose to reproduce. Had a blast… until I didn’t. By the end, I was questioning every life decision that led me to not ask for a reference sheet. The tiny numbers on the 40x50 were like a secret code I wasn’t in on. Maybe I should’ve just gotten the 'I can actually see this' version. Also, small brushes are your best friend unless you want to live dangerously with big ones. I've done a handful of custom paint by numbers by different companies, Canvas by Numbers was the best of the ones I've used. I got the kit weeks faster than other companies (about 3 total from ordering to on my doorstep), the packaging it was shipping it was fun, and the items delivered were well organized and protected. The product is amazing, numbers are very easy to read, the paint pots have a very high quality acrylic paint. The order was received as advertised and in great shape.
