I’m a huge fan of the original bunny blowout kit, it produces curls that last days on me. The new gelcurler just missed the mark. It won’t hold a curl beyond 10 minutes despite strong hairspray. I tried with freshly washed (dry) hair and a few day old hair but no luck. Go for the original!

Unfortunately this prevents you from sleeping on your side. You could probably achieve the same result with a much thinner scarf. Hope this helps someone save some money, I wanted to like it.

I did not like using the BB kit. I feel like I overpaid for pink items. Pink tax for sure. Beyond that, using the system was difficult, and did not have positive results. Incorporating the hair into a pseudo braid with the head piece was unnecessary and did not achieve the desired result. 2nd time trying it out, it exploded in the microwave. Tiny slippery beads everywhere. 😢 it was my own fault. I had heated it up while helping my kids with something, then thought it had lost heat since I didn't take it out right away. I added a little more time...and BAM. Instant regret.

Great idea but did not work on my hair. I have extremely thick hair, and this just didn't cut it. I tried it when my hair was wet, damp, dry, and even tried blow drying my hair with it in. Even though my hair is naturally wavy, it did not curl my hair, or if I got a few curls out of it, they fell within an hour. Seems like it works for many people, but it did not work for me.

It added some waves to my hair and was low maintenance and pretty easy to sleep in. However, the clips that come with it to keep the headband on are awful. They dented my hair really badly and I had to wash and heat style the top of my hair to get the dents out. If you buy a kit just throw the clips out you don’t need them and they will mess up your hair.

It was nearly impossible to find anything but reveal videos of people undoing their perfect curls, I could not find a tutorial anywhere. Even the videos I found that were reviews did not show how exactly to section or wrap the hair.

I put it in the microwave for 40 seconds and it like exploded on one side. It said in order to hold the curl a little tighter put it in the microwave a little bit longer than 30 seconds so that is what I did. Didn’t even get to use it once!

30 seconds does not warm it enough to show a curl in my long hair. I tried doing 45seconds to a minute and it seemed to work better. Love this idea but curls do not hold longer than 15-20 minutes.

I really like the concept and everything that’s included in the kit. The curls I get are very pretty but for me they do not last very long. I really wanted to love this but I think my usual overnight heatless curl routine is the best option for me for long lasting curls.

I used it the first time and it worked well, followed the instructions carefully and made sure not to overheat and all that. Then the second time I used them I did the exact same amount of time in the microwave and one side busted open!! So they work well… but don’t really last. For the price it cost definitely isn’t worth 2 uses… very disappointed.

I reached out regarding my tool having a leak/hole in it after the 2nd use and didn’t get a response. I am bummed about it because the tool really does work - I wouldn’t suggest sleeping in it… also, the back hairs don’t curl much with the way they say to wrap it, but there are other ways to do it!
