I bought this knife because I liked the look, thinking I would put it into my camping gear. It has become a knife I use almost daily in the kitchen for general knife work. It stays sharp and with just a few strokes with a steel, the edge returns to the sharpness it hard when I first got this knife. You couldn't go wrong adding this one to your kitchen tool set.

My husband bought several knives for me. While a bit intimidating (and touted as made for men, not women) I have to tell you I LOVE these knives. This is the one I use for the big jobs. Open up a butternut with little resistance. It's definitely not your average cleaver. Once you get past the heaviness you find it handles amazingly well.

I love this knife. I got one for each of my adult sons and one or me. It is very substantial, a tad intimidating, manly (sorry, ladies, it just is) and overall very cool. Although I'm sure the factory edge is ok, but I took them to a professional sharpener and now they are as sharp as a razor blade. This knife will long outlast me. I hope my boys remember me when they break out the beast.

Honestly, the knives are so awesome that we haven’t brought ourselves to use them quite yet but you can tell the blades are very sharp. very nice knife, useful in all the the smallest of cutting tasks (garlic, etc) keeps a nice edge and is very sharp. The one drawback is it stains VERY easily. Simple thing like cutting onions, and as I was chopping, I noticed it picked up a stain on the blade...not any type of big deal, cause I actually use my knives...but it should be known, AND it doesn't wash off !!!!
