This cleaver is hands down one of the heaviest knives I've held. It has a very nice grip that fits great in the hand. I haven't had an opportunity to test it out but I'm sure when I do it will go through anything in it's path.

Hi Coolina, my name is James Jonathan Eng. I purchased these 4 knifes as a Christmas gift for myself. So they are already wrapped up and under the tree. I haven't tried them as of yet, but I will after Christmas. I also bought a 8 Oz. Bottle of your Knife Oil. It is made well. It looks cool. I will use this one very rarely. Just too heavy...more of a cleaver than a knife. It worked great to cut a tough delicata squash in half. It is so heavy that even though I have strong magnets in my knife holder, it is barely able to adhere. I use the Promaja much more often. Or the chef knife. If you were only getting a couple of these knives, I would skip this one unless you butcher a lot.

So far, these are the finest knives I have used....ever. Highest quality and hold an edge. I use them as multi-task knives (some for hunting and some in the kitchen). Leather sheaths are nice but unnecessarily if you keep them in the kitchen. They come with very nice cloth covers. A few of them I carry on my belt, so the leather sheath are a must. haven't used them much, just one. Great quality and the blade is carbon steel which sharpens easier and holds it's edge. You just have to keep it oiled after washing. I bought several for Christmas presents and by the way, I love your advertising...that's what sold us on your knives.

The knives arrived quickly and well package. I used the Gator the first day I got it and it is razor sharp! No joke please be careful because I was cleaning it with a soft sponge and after a few passes I notice paper thin slices of sponge in the sink!!! If you purchase the knife, spend the extra and get the specific cover. The knife does come in a fabric cover but as it is super sharp, the fabric one will not last long. I also feel much safer with it in this sturdy leather case as I don't worry about cutting myself looking for other utensils.

Absolutely love this knife! We have used it to chop everything from chicken to tomatoes and celery. It is a very manly knife, definitely not for the faint of heart! It is very heavy duty and has a very cool look to it. Very glad we purchased and will definitely be buying the rest of the line.

We purchased the Serbian Chef's knife but had difficulties sharpening it with the WhetStone method (operator error not knife defective) so we were sent this sharpener to try. We love it! It is super easy to use, fits nicely and comfortably in our hands, and does a good job of sharpening. It is great for small, frequent sharpening (we run it through every 2-3 times using the knife) as it doesn't make a mess and is done is seconds.
