I use it for mosquitos that infiltrate my snail tank (no fish in it to eat the mosquito larvae) that I raise to feed my puffer fish. Although mosquitoes aren't attracted to UV light, just having the device near the snail tank seems to be pretty effective as I have already caught about a half dozen mosquitoes in a week. If you are on the fence about purchasing one, maybe this will help. This is a very elegant looking device. Yes, I know that may sound silly considering what its function is, but really, you could easily place this anywhere as a work of art! It is beautiful to look at. Very well made too.
