Phone contact is no longer possible which is annoying. I had an issue with one of the 3 units I had purchased about a year ago - the light must have burnt out - but it was not worth emailing to see if the light could be replaced. I did place a second order for 3 more units - they do work well and I'm satisfied with them.

Update to my last review of Shield Deck when I had received two refill light bulbs that did not work. After contacting the company through email they sent me two brand new bug zappers to replace the bulbs that didn't work. The plug in the wall unit does well as you can see the fruit flies get it caught however, the table top one in the picture has not caught one bug yet. Very disappointed in that unit. So far it has been a waste of money. The plug-in unit is the way to go.

If would have attached a picture if I knew how .but I can tell you I love my trap and so does my dog . He hears the bugs before I do and he looks frantically around and hides about 5 or 10 min he calms down and goes to sleep

The UV lights are bright, and the fan pull feels strong enough to trap gnats, fruit flies, and mosquitos. I put it by the trashcan where I was having a problem and they all seem to have disappeared! But I checked the 'sticky paper' that I placed inside the unit... and yep, it definitely caught one of them! Though I was expecting to find more, it still took care of the issue. I definitely recommend this unit!

This device probably popped up for me because I’ve bought basically every other kind of method to catch flying pests in my kitchen! I’ve got sticky traps and bowls of vinegar and soap up the ying yang. Even tried one of those outdoor lantern ones indoors, but it wasn’t very effective because the flies were way more attracted to the fruit and plants. But when I found out about this device, I got it because it seemed promising.

Excellent product! There had been a bad mosquito issue in Los Angeles this year. No matter what we do these little things get into the office. I put this trap in my house the day I got it. I turned it on and let it run all night. When I arrived to the office in the morning the 1st thing I did was check the trap. 8 mosquitos and a few other insects. I am ecstatic that I got this and highly recommend buying this.

I live in Florida, close to water, where we get a lot of mosquitos. Being obsessed with rain, and unable to put a screen on the door, I often stand in the doorway watching the rain. Best way to deal with smaller flying insects! We could not get rid of the fruit fly infestation. I had tried all of the home remedies. We had tried traps. We had tried alcohol + soap. Emptied a closed garbage daily. Scrubbed and cleaned counters, sink, drain, disposal, etc.

After one full day we started seeing bugs especially the small ones like gnats, fruit flies, and MOSQUITOS! We haven’t caught any big bugs yet, but so far, this unit is very effective against small bugs. Item was well packaged and manual/set up instruction was easy to follow. It’s also not too big and doesn’t take much space which is nice. For the price, it’s definitely worth a purchase.

I've tried everything at home to get rid of mosquitoes in my flat, but nothing worked. Mosquito season in the South may be excruciating. Installed it 4 days ago. The color of the light was a little disarming but the thing immediately started attracting the nasty little critters, including those from the incandescent light I was reading by across the room. The next morning I had a card full of dead critters and haven’t seen a live one since. I unplugged the device yesterday and set it aside so I don’t have the spooky light until I really need it again.

Works great! Be careful of the sticky when you're setting up your top though LOL I got my hand stuck haha however I have not seen a roach since I put the traps out nor have I seen any evidence

Don't recall ordering two but a second one came and I'm glad it did. The first one placed in the Kitchen is quite effective. Have placed the other one in the hall and expect the same results. Happy with. my purchased. It makes no noise and that is fabulous as one of my dogs freaks when one of those bug zappers goes off! LOL

These things are awesome!! I got it when a plant had fruit flies, and it helped wipe them out. I had left over sticky pads and didn't think I still needed them, but boy was I wrong! It is crazy you do not realize how many little critters are flying around until you see the sticky pad full of them!

It works well. It needs to be right near the site of where the bugs usually are. So for us it’s near our compost waste or any fruit we may have out on the counter. It’s doing well at cutting down the number of fruit flies for sure. You will still see one or two buzzing around every now and then but much better. Wish the device had a smaller version. It takes up quite a bit if wall space around the outlet.
