I’m a photographer who is adapting my skills to a new photography environment. Due to a recent diagnosis with a degenerative neurological condition I’m doing more introspective photography, macro shots, and tripod based work as opposed to my normal run and gun captures. I’ve only just experimented with the product and have enjoyed it so far. It will be the centerpiece of my new home studio in a few months.

I was hesitant at first to purchase my Surfaces because I wasn't able to see or feel them in person, but I took the risk and it totally paid off! The material feels very sturdy (my main concern), and the boards really do look hyperrealistic. Setting up the "studio" is really simple, and it's been fun to do some styling with the boards as my canvas. The RS Giftscape made it easy for me to do Christmas product scenes. I didn't have to fiddle around with trying to make or create a holiday scene. I just added my product and props and adjusted my lights. Then I easily swap out the product for the next shot. Time saver, brain saver. And because of the neutral white tones, I could even adjust the Giftscape lighting and make an evening "glow".

I had been considering Replica Surfaces for years and decided to go for it, finally. I don’t need the “studio” as I have a perfect location, between two windows. I ordered multiple surfaces and the light filtering panel and it has absolutely done the trick. I would recommend Replica 100 times over. Pro tip: order an extra set of stands to give you more flexibility for setting up your shot.
